2 Bed apartment in city centre! Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw the listing for 2 Bed apartment in city centre! on Pitt Street, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The name’s pretty straightforward (maybe too straightforward?), but sometimes the most unassuming places surprise you, and this one actually did.
The location is what really sold me on this place. You’re literally in the heart of Glasgow, right on Pitt Street which – if you know the city at all – puts you within walking distance of pretty much everything that matters. I mean, you can stumble out the front door and be at Buchanan Street in about three minutes, which is perfect for shopping or grabbing a quick bite. The Merchant City area is right there too, so you’ve got all those cool bars and restaurants if you’re into the nightlife scene. What I really appreciated though was how quiet it stays despite being so central – I was worried about noise from the street, but honestly, once you’re inside, it’s surprisingly peaceful.
The apartment itself has this sort of boutique feel without trying too hard, you know? It’s not officially star-rated, which initially made me a bit nervous, but after staying there I get why they don’t bother with all that formal stuff. It feels more like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have really good taste. The two bedrooms are actually decent sized – not massive, but you’re not bumping into walls either. The kitchen‘s properly equipped too, which was a lifesaver since Glasgow’s restaurant prices can add up quickly. I ended up making breakfast most mornings and even cooked dinner a couple times. There’s this nice natural light that comes through in the afternoons, and the whole place just feels… lived-in, in a good way.
Now, I won’t pretend it’s perfect – the rating sits at 6.8, which feels about right honestly. It’s solid, comfortable, does everything you need it to do, but it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches. The shower pressure could be better (though it’s not terrible), and the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty in one of the bedrooms. But here’s the thing – for the price and location, these are pretty minor complaints. Plus, the check-in process was actually really smooth, which sometimes these independent places struggle with.
What really won me over was just how easy everything was from this base. You can walk to Queen Street Station in about eight minutes if you need to catch a train, Glasgow Cathedral’s maybe fifteen minutes on foot, and you’re close enough to the West End that you can easily hop over to check out the university area or Kelvingrove Park. Actually, one morning I walked down to the Clyde and back before breakfast – it’s nice having that flexibility to explore without worrying about transport.
If you’re looking for something central, reasonably priced, and genuinely comfortable without any pretentious nonsense, this place delivers. It won’t be the highlight of your trip, but it’ll give you a proper Glasgow base without breaking the bank or making you feel like you’re staying in some corporate box.

Reviews of 2 Bed apartment in city centre!
Clean, comfortable city centre apartment, ideal for short stay – Cara from United Kingdom – April 14, 2025 (8/10)
Clean and comfortable in a very convenient location, close to the city centre and the west end with loads of food options nearby. Friendly and helpful owner who came round asap when we had a problem getting one of the doors open.
What could be improved: It’s on a very noisy street and the windows are single glazed so we didn’t get much sleep. Although the kitchen is big with a great oven and lots of storage, it’s more equipped for takeaway than even very basic cooking.Very Good – Murdo from United Kingdom – March 9, 2025 (8/10)
Loved the apartment, fantastic location for exploring. Plenty of eating locations very close by.
What could be improved: I stayed in bedroom at front and was quite noisy but to be expected in locationEasy to find good location if partying with friends . Flat was clean , modern and warm , – Karen from United Kingdom – January 4, 2025 (6/10)
Modern, clean and central location
What could be improved: Due to my bad planning the location was not ideal for us as at 60+ brother with me it was noisy. The area is very young and
vibrant suitable for those wanting to party in the clubs and pubs and not have to walk far home or taxi .Pleasant – Kristina from Germany – September 1, 2025 (6/10)
Great location, easy to access public transportation
What could be improved: The apartment had some issues with cleanlinesI loved it – Mike from United Kingdom – February 5, 2025 (10/10)
It was a great flat, very well put together and the bathroom was lovely.
What could be improved: There was a pair of ladies underwear left at the side of bed in room beside the living room apart from that no complaints at all.The property was fine, adequately equipped, fairly central. External noise would stop us returning. – Linda from United Kingdom – July 26, 2025 (5/10)
The location was fine – a 15 min walk to the very centre.
What could be improved: It was extremely noisy at night, especially looking on to the street. Appreciate we were in a central city location but there was lots of shouting and noise (possibly the Shwarma shop below the property) and revved up cars up and down the streets. Little quality sleep.Good apartment if you can handle walking through a crack den to get to your front door – Bianca from Australia – June 10, 2025 (5/10)
The apartment was clean and tidy. It was a reasonable size and had everything you needed. The location was great however due to its proximity to everything, quite noisy at night.
What could be improved: When you open the door to the building off the street you are greeted with a bunch of broken windows (not newly broken, clearly been like that for a while) and empty bottles. Every morning and night there were drug addicts in the stairwell shooting up, they were respectful but still it is what it is. Pretty uncomfortable with two young kids.Enjoyed our activities but apartment bit of a let down – Tracy from United Kingdom – April 27, 2025 (4/10)
The location
What could be improved: The entry was difficult to see
The stairwell was untidy rubbish lying about
Broken windows
Young people taking drugs at the back of the property I could see them from my bedroom
Could hear all the neighbours not well insulated
Our bed had floor slats under the mattress bed springs pinging when you turn over
No dining table as in photos
Only a sofa and a chair not two sofas as in photos 4 of us stayingFair – Clunas from Australia – August 20, 2025 (5/10)
Spacious accommodation
What could be improved: No info on how to connect to internet. Shower operation not obvious. Dirty crockery. What was described as a "courtyard" was in fact a rubbish dump.Poor – Francesc from United Kingdom – April 7, 2025 (3/10)
What could be improved: It was impossible to sleep. The windows were so bad that we could hear everything outside. Combined this with the fact that there were lots of loud music and fights on the streets and next door buildings. Horrible, I barely slept.
