Amani Apartments – Glasgow City Centre Overview

You know what really struck me about Amani Apartments – Glasgow City Centre? It’s one of those places that gets the balance right between feeling like a proper home and having all the hotel perks you actually want. I mean, when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a quick overnight, you need space to breathe – and these apartments definitely deliver on that front.

The location is honestly brilliant. You’re right in the thick of things in Glasgow, but not in that touristy way where you’re dodging street performers every time you step outside. I found myself walking to most places I wanted to go – the Merchant City area is basically on your doorstep, and you can easily stroll down to the river or up toward the West End without needing to figure out the buses (though Glasgow’s public transport is actually pretty decent). What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night, considering you’re so central. The building seems well-insulated, and I think the way the apartments are set up – sort of tucked away from the main drag – helps with that.

The apartments themselves feel genuinely livable, not like someone just threw together some Ikea furniture and called it furnished accommodation. The kitchens are properly equipped – I’m talking real knives that actually cut things, decent-sized fridges, and hobs that heat up quickly. Little things like having enough electrical outlets near the bed and a dining table you can actually work at make such a difference when you’re there for business or just need to sort your life out. The 4-star rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be flashy, but everything works well and feels thoughtfully put together. Honestly, with an 8.8 rating, I was expecting to find some obvious flaw that other guests missed, but I really couldn’t pinpoint anything major. Maybe the shower pressure could be a bit stronger, but that’s me being picky. Check-in was straightforward too – none of that awkward hanging around a tiny reception desk situation you get at some apartment hotels. The staff actually seem to know the city well, which is refreshing when you need restaurant recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots.

Reviews of Amani Apartments – Glasgow City Centre

  • Anna from Sweden (9/10)

Very comfortable and everything you need – comfortable bed, spacious shower with good water pressure, ironing board.
Kitchenette is properly functional – fridge, freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave, cattle, dishes, soap, etc.
    Helpful hosts, language storage.
Location – 10 min walk to Glasgow Central station, and it's the very city centre. Even closer other stations – Charing Cross and Anderson, which are different lines.
Airport coach stop is like 15 min walk. The coach makes a couple of stops in the city centre. The first one will be yours.
Tescos are couple blocks up hill, Lidl is near Central station.
    Last but not least.
Everything is clean and designed – lots of mirrors, pieces of furniture, paintings, etc.
Complemented water, soda and crisps – so rare nowadays.
Branded good quality totalities. New fluffy bathroom towels. Bathroom equipment, like taps and shower, of premium quality, too. Some might say it's not important but it was such a pleasure to use it!

we ended up here with 20 minutes notice as the provision property was not fit for occupation ( Penthouse Buchannan st ) as no working appliances , in the kitchen and it was filthy . we received a very warm welcome from the host. cant fault location, place was clean and very central , I asked for a restaurant recommendation and was very happy with it , ( we went twice !!)

Perfect for business travel. Host was there at my arrival with keys and then I was left to focus on work and rest. No interruptions, no check out. An adult location for adult travellers. Oh, and there's a bar right next door with live music if you get thirsty!

  • Rohan from United Kingdom (9/10)

Great location and facilities for a short term single stay for someone who might like a bit more flexibility over a hotel room. Staff were very accommodating and swift in response to provide any additional facilities (extra heater or kitchenware) upon requests
