There’s something really charming about how the rooms are laid out too, sort of rambling and cozy rather than that boxy modern apartment feel you get in newer buildings.

What really got me was the attention to detail throughout the place. The beds are actually comfortable – and I’m picky about mattresses – with proper linens that don’t feel like sandpaper. The kitchen‘s got everything you need if you want to cook, which honestly saved me a fortune since eating out in Glasgow every night adds up fast. Plus there’s this lovely little sitting area where you can have your morning coffee and watch the city wake up below. The heating works properly too, which might sound obvious but you’d be surprised how many places I’ve stayed where I’ve ended up sleeping in my jacket.
