I’ll be honest – when I first walked into the Best Western Glasgow Hotel, I wasn’t expecting much. You know how chain hotels can be, sort of predictable and a bit bland. But this place actually surprised me in a good way. The lobby has this warm, welcoming feel that doesn’t scream “corporate,” and the staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests walk through the door. I mean, you can usually tell when someone’s just going through the motions, but here they actually took time to chat about what was happening around Glasgow that weekend.

The rooms are what I’d call comfortable without being fancy – which honestly is exactly what I want after a long day of exploring the city. The beds are properly firm (thank goodness, because I can’t stand those marshmallow mattresses some places have), and the bathrooms are clean with decent water pressure. Nothing groundbreaking, but everything works like it should. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, even when the hotel seems pretty full. You know that thin-wall problem a lot of mid-range places have? Not an issue here. I actually slept through the night, which doesn’t always happen when I’m traveling.

The location is where this place really wins you over, though. You’re close enough to the city center that you can walk to most of the spots you’ll want to see, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with constant street noise and crowds right outside your window. There’s this great little pub about two blocks away that the front desk guy recommended – turns out locals actually hang out there, not just tourists. And honestly, for a 3-star place, you’re getting solid value. The 7.2 rating makes sense to me because it’s not going to blow your mind, but it delivers on what it promises without any nasty surprises. I’ve stayed at supposedly fancier places that left me more frustrated than this one did. Sometimes you just want a place that handles the basics really well, and that’s exactly what you get here.

  the staff, the lady that checked us in was lovely. we explained that we are going to an event nearby therefore is it possible we can check in earlier to get ready. she was able to accommodate us earlier and allowed us to move room for a earlier check in.

  It’s a perfect location if you are on a short trip, key places to visit a walking distance and numerous food choices and bus connections is not even a minute away.

  Lovely room, twin beds, which were very comfortable. Usual, tea and coffee station in room. Nice quiet room with all normal things in room, TV, hairdryer etc. around 15min walk to OVO hydro

  The staff were exceptional i can't recommend this place enough. This is a budget friendly hotel. The staff go over and above for the comfort of their guests.
  
  On arrival the reception was quite dark which made me worry at first but we were very pleasantly surprised it was lovely. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. We stayed in room 107 it was very clean and tidy. Spotless bathroom the bed was so comfortable. We had a tv remote and hairdryer as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
  
  There is a small bar in the reception.
  
  The main restaurant was being renovated on our stay.
  
  Breakfast was amazing. Large selection of hot and cold food, teas, coffee and fruit juice. Staff couldn't do enough for us.
