Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from City Centre 2 bedroom apartment, secure parking when I first booked it – the name sounds pretty generic, right? But you know what really surprised me? This place actually delivers on the basics in a way that makes you appreciate good, straightforward accommodation. The secure parking alone is worth its weight in gold if you’ve ever spent twenty minutes circling blocks looking for a decent spot.

The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I mean in the best possible way. You walk in and there’s this sense that someone actually thought about how people move through a space – the kitchen‘s got enough counter space to spread out groceries, the bedrooms are positioned so you’re not hearing every conversation from the living area, and there are these little touches like proper blackout curtains that tell you someone gets what travelers need. The furniture isn’t Instagram-perfect, but it’s comfortable and functional. I spent a good chunk of one evening working at the dining table, and my laptop didn’t slide around or anything – sometimes it’s the small wins that matter most.

What really sets this place apart though is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re genuinely in the thick of things without being right on top of the main tourist drag, so you get that authentic city rhythm without the constant noise. I could walk to cafes where locals actually grab their morning coffee, not just tourist traps with inflated prices. The building itself is solid – none of that paper-thin wall situation where you hear every footstep from upstairs. Mornings are surprisingly quiet considering how central everything is. The secure parking situation is tucked away but easy to navigate, which honestly saved me from the usual urban parking stress. I’ve stayed in places with higher star ratings that felt way more impersonal and frankly less comfortable than this setup. Sometimes what you need is just a well-thought-out space where everything works as it should – reliable wifi, decent water pressure, enough storage that you can actually unpack for a few days. That 9.0 rating makes perfect sense once you settle in for a night or two.

    The apartment was clean, comfortable, and spacious for three guests – and adding a 4th would not make it crowded. Location was excellent – we could walk to a large grocery store as well as smaller shops, parks, the cathedral, train station – pretty much everywhere on that side of the city. Sharon was easy to reach, but we never needed her help as things went smoothly. We cooked meals with no problems and used the washing machine, which took some knowledge of European-style machines.

    Wonderful place to stay, very comfortable and spacious, well equipped, clean and quiet!
    We (four people) could only stay for 1 night but would definitely return for a longer period as the apartment is very welcoming, provides everything you need and is excellently located. The host is super friendly and helpful and the overall experience made us feel right at home!

    Very clean apartment, with a parking space provided.
    A great amount of space for four adults, the beds were also comfortable. The apartment is well stocked with additional linen, towels etc and plenty of kitchen utensils.
    About a 15 minute walk away to the main station to take you to Edinburgh if you fancy a day trip.

    The apartment was homely and comfortable. It even had blackout blinds — a must in the long days of the Scottish summer!

    The parking was very secure.

    The location was convenient for shops (Tesco Express around the corner) and Glasgow Green.
