You’re far enough from the city center chaos that you can actually sleep through the night (trust me, the windows are solid), but close enough that a quick taxi ride gets you to Merchant City or the cathedral area without breaking the bank. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood – they pointed me toward this fantastic little bakery just around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise, and gave me the real scoop on which bus routes actually run on time. The rooms themselves have this modern-but-not-sterile vibe going on. Everything’s clean and well-thought-out, with these little touches that show someone actually cares about the details – like proper reading lights by the bed and bathroom mirrors that don’t fog up immediately after your shower.

I’ll be straight with you though, this isn’t one of those places trying to be everything to everyone. It’s a 4-star property that knows exactly what it is and does it really well. The common areas have this relaxed energy where you might end up chatting with other guests over coffee, but you’re not forced into awkward social situations if you’d rather keep to yourself. Check-in was refreshingly smooth – no endless upselling or complicated key card situations that make you feel like you need an engineering degree. The whole experience felt… well, authentic is probably the word. Like staying at the home of a friend who happens to be really good at hospitality. With a 9.7 rating, I wasn’t sure if my expectations were set too high, but honestly? It delivers on that score. Sometimes you stumble onto these places that just get the balance right between comfort, location, and genuine service – and this residence nails it without all the pretentious flourishes you get at some of the pricier spots downtown.
