Delightful home stay – Double ensuiteroom. Overview
You know what really struck me about Delightful home stay – Double ensuiteroom? It’s one of those places that completely defies the whole star rating system – I mean, how do you even categorize something this personal and unique? Tucked away on Seamore Street in the North West part of Glasgow, it feels more like staying with a really thoughtful friend who happens to have impeccable taste than checking into a traditional hotel.
The moment you walk in, you realize this isn’t your typical accommodation. The owner has created something genuinely special here – it’s got that boutique sensibility without any of the pretentious nonsense you sometimes get. The ensuite double room is honestly beautifully put together, with these little touches that you don’t see coming but make total sense once you’re there. I’m talking about things like the way the morning light hits the windows, or how they’ve managed to create this cozy atmosphere without making the space feel cramped. The bathroom setup is actually really well thought out too – proper water pressure (which, let’s be honest, can be hit or miss in Glasgow), and they’ve got those toiletries that smell amazing but aren’t so fancy you’re afraid to use them.
What I love most about this place is how it sits in the neighborhood. Seamore Street isn’t touristy at all – you’re living like locals do, which means you’ll discover those little cafes and shops that don’t make it into guidebooks. The area’s got this residential feel but you’re still well connected to everything you want to see in Glasgow. The 8.8 rating this place pulls totally makes sense when you stay here; it’s the kind of spot where small details add up to something really memorable. Parking‘s actually manageable around there too, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Glasgow with a car will appreciate. I’d honestly recommend this to people who want something more authentic than a chain hotel but still want comfort and someone who knows the city to give you proper recommendations. Just don’t expect a massive lobby or room service – this is intimate hospitality done right.

Reviews of Delightful home stay – Double ensuiteroom.
Perfect wee room – more than met my needs and at a great price. – Lisa from United Kingdom – May 28, 2025 (10/10)
I wanted a basic room for the night in the West End of Glasgow. I was going out with friends, so a bed really was all I needed and I didn't want to spend a lot on a hotel room that I would barely use. I am generally pretty high maintenance but this more than met my criteria. It is clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Particularly useful and unexpected are the fridge and microwave in the room. This is not the sort of place where you think you must come back here for a romantic stay because it is so fabulous; there are no fancy 800 count Egyptian cotton sheets or a view to die for, but if you want a budget bed for the night, somewhere that feels quiet and safe, is very close to the subway and bus routes into town or you are here for the West End in particular, this is perfect. It is nothing like staying in a big hotel – it is like staying in the home of a friend or your favourite auntie, but with the bonus that you don't have to chat to them!! The host thoughtfully supplied all sorts of things (toiletries, etc) that a traveller might have forgotten that you won't find in a hotel room. I have stayed in plenty much more expensive places that have been a bit smelly or a scary or plain depressing. This is none of those things. It is great. The host, Kaushik, was very quick to respond to any messages and requests and I felt could have been reached easily if necessary, which, for a single woman on her own, is important.
I would definitely stay here again and have recommended it to my daughter who needs to stay in Glasgow for work this weekend – I think that says it all.

Great little room for the price! And well connected. Perfect bunch of necessities provided like tea cups, spoons, paper plates, bowls, microwave and kettle made it very convenient.
Very Good – Paul from United Kingdom – October 23, 2024 (8/10)
Clean, tidy, warm, decent location, quiet, good value
What could be improved: No actual designated parking spot as led to believe and had to park down the road.Exceptional – Harley from United Kingdom – October 22, 2024 (10/10)
Very clean room. Had everything you could possibly need.
What could be improved: Nothing will be staying againClean good tv – Stephanie from United Kingdom – October 9, 2024 (10/10)
The host was brilliant answered the phone when I got lost and was very helpful
Virgin media tv was great to relax to after a hard day at workExceptional – Joanna from United Kingdom – October 3, 2024 (10/10)
An excellent little room for a stopover in Central Glasgow. Clean, comfortable, AMAZINGLY well equipped ( you might just want to take a corkscrew 🤣). Everything else you could want in a bijou space — though possibly bigger than the pics make it look. Perfect.
What could be improved: We did get a parking space but we had a sticky moment on arrival when the car park was full and we weren't sure where else to go.Compact, clean, tidy and comfy – Brigham from United Kingdom – September 22, 2024 (9/10)
The beds were very comfortable. Everything you would require was available in the room eg Toiletries, Drinks, Hairdryer, TV etc. Easy access to the ground floor room.
What could be improved: The fridge was not on as we arrived, so had to wait for it to cool down before I could transfer my medication. It is a Twin Room, not a Double Room as advertised, but this is shown on the photographs.Nice stay – Nathalia from Ireland – September 1, 2024 (8/10)
Very comfy accommodation for a short stay in Glasgow.
What could be improved: A bit far away from city centre but doable.
