I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name Fabulous location, One Bedroom West End Flat, just off Byres rd, close to SEC & Hydro, I thought someone got a bit carried away with their property listing. But you know what? They weren’t wrong about that location claim. This little one-bedroom flat really is tucked away in one of Glasgow’s most walkable neighborhoods, and after staying here for a few days, I actually started to appreciate how refreshingly straightforward the owner was being.

The West End vibe hits you the moment you step outside – there’s this constant hum of university life mixed with proper Glasgow character that you just don’t get in the city center hotels. Byres Road is literally around the corner, which means you’re about thirty seconds from decent coffee, vintage shops that actually have good stuff, and those curry houses that locals argue about. I mean, I spent way too much time at the little deli just down the street grabbing fresh rolls for breakfast. The flat itself is pretty much what you’d expect from a 3-star place – clean, functional, with that slightly mismatched furniture situation that somehow works. The bed was surprisingly comfortable (honestly, I was skeptical), and the kitchen had everything I needed to avoid eating out every meal, which my wallet definitely appreciated.

What really won me over, though, was how easy it made getting around. The SEC and Hydro are genuinely close – I walked to a concert one evening and it was maybe fifteen minutes of pleasant strolling along the Clyde. No scrambling for taxis or figuring out the subway system after a show. And if you’re here for university stuff or just want to explore the West End properly, you’re perfectly positioned. Kelvingrove Park is right there for morning runs (or afternoon naps, no judgment), and the transport links into the city center are solid. The 7.6 rating makes sense – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. The neighborhood gets a bit lively on weekend nights, but that’s West End life for you. If you want sterile quiet, book somewhere else. If you want to feel like you’re actually staying in Glasgow rather than just visiting it, this little flat does the job perfectly well.

  the owner is very kindness. During check-out time, my hursband was sick and our flight was in the afternoon, she permitted us to stay more time for having rest later than the specified check-out time.

  Property had everything I needed for a prolonged stay for work and I felt they had thought of everything you might need whilst away from home! A little cold but heating made the property super warm and cosy. Comfortable bed! Great location!

  The apartment is very spacious and has everything one would need to a 1-2weeks trip. It's homey and to me more than enough as long as you are not looking for super luxury experience. Location is great, very close to lots of attractions and metro station. For me walkable distance to the center. Price is very good for the value.

The flat was also within easy reach of the attractions we wanted to visit, the subway and local restaurants & bar. The flat offered everything we needed for a good weekend in Glasglow.
