My towels were actually fluffy, the Wi-Fi didn’t cut out every five minutes, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the shower had proper water pressure, which you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case in budget accommodations.

What I loved most was how quiet it gets at night. Eaglesham Road isn’t exactly a main thoroughfare, so you’re not dealing with traffic noise or drunk folks stumbling around at 2 AM like you would closer to the city center. I actually slept better there than I have in some four-star places, if I’m being honest. The only tiny downside is that you’ll want a car or at least be comfortable with public transport – it’s not really a walk-everywhere kind of location. But that’s sort of the trade-off, right? You get more space, better value, and a genuine neighborhood feel instead of tourist central. Plus, there’s something nice about staying somewhere that feels like you’re actually visiting Scotland rather than just passing through another interchangeable hotel room. For what you pay versus what you get, especially with that kind of rating, it’s honestly a pretty solid choice if you don’t mind being a bit outside the Glasgow buzz.

It's in a good location with the train station only minutes away with regular trains into Glasgow City centre. Richie, the host, was very obliging and responsive when we had a problem with the TV. Would have no hesitation in staying again – highly recommened!
