(G4) Luxurious 2 Bed Blythswood Flat Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name (G4) Luxurious 2 Bed Blythswood Flat, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The whole “G4” thing made it sound sort of like a government code or something, but once you actually get there on Saint Vincent Street, it all makes sense. This isn’t your typical hotel at all – it’s more like staying in someone’s incredibly well-appointed city apartment, and I mean that in the best possible way.
The location is absolutely spot-on if you know Glasgow at all. You’re right in the thick of things on Saint Vincent Street, which honestly puts you within walking distance of pretty much everything that matters. I could wander down to the Merchant City for dinner, hit up Buchanan Street for shopping, or just grab a pint at one of the nearby pubs without even thinking about transport. The building itself has that classic Glasgow sandstone thing going on – you know, the kind that looks all stately and substantial, especially when the light hits it just right in the late afternoon.
What really got me about this place is how they’ve managed to create something that feels genuinely luxurious without being stuffy or over-the-top. The two-bedroom setup is perfect if you’re traveling with friends or family, and honestly, even if you’re solo, having that extra space just makes everything feel more relaxed. The furnishings are thoughtfully chosen – not that generic hotel stuff you see everywhere, but pieces that actually work together and feel lived-in. I spent a good chunk of one evening just lounging around, and it actually felt like I was staying at a friend’s place rather than in some anonymous hotel room.
The kitchen situation is probably worth mentioning too, since you don’t always get that in city center accommodations. It’s properly equipped, which came in handy when I grabbed some bits from the nearby shops and wanted to have breakfast without rushing out somewhere. There’s something nice about making your morning coffee while looking out at the Glasgow street life getting started – definitely beats the usual hotel breakfast rush.
I will say, being right in the city center means you’ll hear some street noise, especially on weekend nights, but that’s just Glasgow being Glasgow. If you’re the type who needs absolute silence, maybe pack some earplugs, but honestly, it never bothered me much. The whole area comes alive in the evenings, and there’s something energizing about being right in the middle of it all.
The rating of 9 out of 10 feels about right – this place delivers on what it promises without any of the pretentious nonsense you sometimes get with boutique accommodations. It’s comfortable, well-located, and has personality, which in my book matters way more than whether someone’s awarded it official stars or not. If you want to experience Glasgow like you actually live there, rather than just passing through, this is exactly the kind of place that makes that happen.

What could be improved: Lack of storage in kitchen for food stuffs and insufficient cooking utensils.Lovely Stay with a Few Drawbacks – Linda from United Kingdom – April 21, 2025 (6/10)
My family and I stayed at this serviced apartment in Glasgow and overall had a lovely experience. The apartment itself was very clean, tastefully furnished, and had a modern, comfortable feel. The beds were incredibly cozy, and the shower had great water pressure—definitely one of the highlights. The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of pots, pans, utensils, and more than enough plates for a family stay. The staff were another big plus—always friendly, helpful, and ready to assist whenever needed.
What could be improved: However, there were a few downsides. The windows weren’t double-glazed or soundproof, which meant that we could hear quite a bit of noise from outside. Early mornings were often interrupted by rubbish trucks, and being close to office buildings meant there was regular foot traffic and noise during the day. This also made the apartment a bit cold, so we found ourselves needing to keep the heating on constantly and eventually requested an additional electric heater.
Parking was another challenge. The closest parking was quite expensive and only free from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. The discounted NCP parking option was about a 10-minute walk away—and unfortunately, it’s uphill, which made it a bit inconvenient, especially with luggage or kids. The nearest shops were also around 10 minutes on foot, so something to consider if you prefer easy access to groceries or essentials.
All in all, it’s a beautiful place with great service, but just be prepared for some trade-offs in terms of location and noiseFair – Morgan from United Kingdom – February 6, 2025 (5/10)
Rooms were clean
What could be improved: The maid bragged in to the bedroom and basically told us to leave giving us a fright also place smelled like weed
