The apartment itself feels more like staying at a design-conscious friend’s place than a typical hotel – which makes sense since it doesn’t have an official star rating but operates more like a boutique property. The two bedrooms are actually generous by UK standards, and the kitchen is properly equipped, not just for show. I mean, you’ve got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Tesco Express down the road instead of eating out every meal. The whole place has this clean, contemporary vibe without being sterile – think exposed brick details mixed with modern fixtures. One small thing though – the heating can be a bit temperamental, so don’t be afraid to fiddle with the thermostat settings.

What really sold me on this place was how it sits in the heart of everything without the chaos. You’re walking distance to the SEC Centre and all those massive concerts and events, but you’re also perfectly positioned for exploring the Merchant City area or heading down to the riverside walks. The Finnieston strip with all its trendy restaurants and bars is literally around the corner – I probably spent too many evenings at The Gannet trying their modern Scottish menu. Parking can be a bit tricky around here (welcome to Glasgow city centre), but there are paid spots nearby, and honestly, you might not even need a car once you’re settled in. The subway station at Partick is a decent walk, but buses run regularly along the river, and everything central is walkable if you don’t mind a bit of exercise. With that 9.3 rating, I get why people keep coming back – it’s one of those places that just works, whether you’re here for business at the conference centers or trying to catch a show at one of the venues.

  Had a lovely stay at this apartment, it’s very spacious, very clean and has great facilities. It’s only a 15-20 minute walk to city centre and a 5 – 10 minute walk to the ovo hydro. Has a great view onto the river Clyde too.
  
  What could be improved: The only thing is I like thick pillows and the pillows was just a bit thin for my liking
