But there’s something oddly charming about it, especially if you’re the type who prefers character over polish. The check-in process was… informal, shall we say, but the person running it seemed genuinely friendly, just a bit scattered. You definitely get the sense that this is a family-run operation where things happen at their own pace.

What I appreciated most was the complete lack of pretense – no one’s trying to convince you this is luxury accommodation, and there’s something refreshing about that honesty. The free parking situation is genuinely convenient if you’re driving up from England or exploring the Scottish countryside, since you can actually leave your car somewhere safe without bankrupting yourself. From here, you can catch a bus into the city center pretty easily, or if you’re feeling energetic, it’s a decent walk through some interesting neighborhoods. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for spa treatments or room service, but if you need a no-frills base for exploring Glasgow and you appreciate having your own wheels, it does the job. Just… manage your expectations accordingly.
