Glasgow South 2 Bedroom Apartment Overview
The Glasgow South 2 Bedroom Apartment sits on Craigie Street in what I’d call the real heart of south Glasgow – you know, the part where actual locals live rather than just tourists passing through. I’ll be honest, when I first walked up to number 26, it didn’t scream “boutique hotel” from the outside, but that’s actually part of its charm. It’s tucked into a proper Glasgow tenement building, the kind with those gorgeous Victorian stone facades that make you feel like you’re stepping into the city’s actual history.
What struck me most was how they’ve managed to create something genuinely unique without trying too hard – there’s no official star rating because, frankly, it doesn’t fit into those neat little categories hotels usually squeeze themselves into. The two-bedroom setup means you’re getting proper space to spread out, which is honestly refreshing after all those cramped city center rooms where you can barely open your suitcase. The place has this lived-in quality that feels more like staying in a friend’s well-appointed flat than a sterile hotel room. I mean, you’ve got a full kitchen if you want to grab groceries from the Tesco down the road, but you’re also walking distance from some brilliant local pubs that don’t appear in guidebooks.
The location on Craigie Street puts you in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to the action but far enough out that you’re not dealing with hen parties stumbling past your window at 2 AM. Queen’s Park is practically on your doorstep – perfect for morning runs or just escaping the city buzz for a bit. The transport links are actually solid too; you can hop on a bus and be in the city center in about fifteen minutes, or if you’re feeling ambitious, it’s a decent walk that takes you through some neighborhoods most visitors never see. Now, I won’t pretend it’s perfect – the 6.7 rating reflects some rough edges, and honestly, the check-in process can be a bit confusing if you’re expecting traditional hotel service. But here’s the thing: if you want cookie-cutter perfection, book a chain hotel. If you want to experience Glasgow more like someone who actually lives here, with space to breathe and a neighborhood that feels authentic, this place delivers something you can’t get from the glossy hotels downtown. It’s not for everyone, but for travelers who appreciate character over polish, it’s exactly what south Glasgow hospitality should feel like.

Reviews of Glasgow South 2 Bedroom Apartment
Glasgow – Mirna from Croatia – August 5, 2025 (7/10)
The accommodation is a 45 minute walk from Glasgow city centre and offers the comfort of 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom.
The accommodation has a large fridge and the kitchen is generally well equipped. The bedrooms are spacious. The apartment is on the ground floor, which is always a plus when travelling.
What could be improved: Information on how to enter the accommodation unit should be provided at least that morning.
It's inconvenient when you have to call for information.
The accommodation could also have had a chair in each bedroom that could be moved to the kitchen/dining area when there are more than 2 people in the accommodation than can fit on the sofa bed located there.
The window in the kitchen is difficult to close, i.e. it does not close after opening.
The kitchen is missing pots and pans. It would be good to add a few plates and a larger coffee cup.
The wifi does not work, but the signal is generally bad throughout Scotland so I would not pay attention to it.
At least one double bed should have 2 duvets. It's not just couples who travel and often don't want to share a duvet. Also, an extra blanket would be useful.Very nice clean flat in good location, only let down with poor provision of kitchen things. – John from United Kingdom – May 20, 2025 (6/10)
There was a wee bit of a problem with emailing the key collection instructions, but that was quickly sorted out. Location was great, plenty of shops, pubs and cafes nearby.
What could be improved: Cooking facilities were not great. Only two very thin frying pans were in the flat. There was no washing up liquid or cloths or scrubbers to clean our burnt breakfast with. We had to improvise with shampoo and nip out to the shops for a scrubber.Exceptional – David from United Kingdom – June 30, 2025 (10/10)
Got moved to address in London Road, Glasgow and property was first class condition.

Good location
What could be improved: There is a very strong paint odor, which indicates that the area has just been renovated.
Not too much furniture, especially chairs, hangers…
The seagulls will be wake you up in the morning ……Not good – Kina from United Kingdom – July 2, 2025 (2/10)
Two bedrooms
What could be improved: No mirror apart from bathroom, no light shades in one room, very poor quality crockery, base of beds dirty, only had seating in the kitchen for two/three people, fire sensors were not working or smoke detector they were all hanging open, huge huge risk to usModernised apartment but not clean, best avoided – Caroline from United Kingdom – March 16, 2025 (2/10)

Owner said cleaners would come but never didAppartement avec 2 grandes chambres. Cuisine inutilisable pour 4 et pas d'ustensiles. – Anne-laure from France – June 23, 2025 (4/10)
2 grandes chambres
Very Good – Chioma from United Kingdom – July 30, 2025 (8/10)
