Glasgow Southside: Cosy 2 Bedroom Apartment Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Glasgow Southside: Cosy 2 Bedroom Apartment on Seath Street, I wasn’t expecting much from the unassuming Victorian tenement building. But you know what they say about judging books by their covers, right? This little ground floor flat turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something the guidebooks missed.

The location is actually pretty brilliant once you get your bearings. You’re properly in the southside here – not the touristy bits everyone talks about, but real residential Glasgow where people actually live and work. Pollokshaws Road is just a quick walk away, which means you’ve got proper local pubs, decent curry houses, and those corner shops that somehow have everything you need. The bus connections into the city center are frequent enough, though I’d budget about 20 minutes to get to the main shopping areas. Parking isn’t too bad on Seath Street itself – I mean, it’s Glasgow, so you’ll need to read the signs carefully, but it’s doable.

What struck me most was how the owners managed to make this feel like a proper home rather than just another rental. The two bedrooms are genuinely cozy (not estate agent cozy, actually cozy), and honestly, the kitchen surprised me with how well-equipped it was. I ended up cooking more than I planned because everything I needed was there. The living room gets lovely light in the afternoons, and the heating works well – which, let’s face it, matters more in Glasgow than anywhere else. It’s not luxury by any stretch, and the bathroom could use a refresh, but there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t try to be something it’s not. The neighbors are quiet, the street feels safe even late at night, and you get that authentic southside experience without feeling like you’re roughing it. If you want to experience Glasgow like someone who actually lives here rather than just passing through, this place delivers on that promise.

Reviews of Glasgow Southside: Cosy 2 Bedroom Apartment

  • Great place comfy clean , good for a family or 2 couples as we were – Juliana from Australia – August 4, 2025 (8/10)

Quiet area close to the main town , very comfortable and clean , host left great instructions , a few treats etc , close to a co op walking about 5 mins which had most things you might want .

What could be improved: It was a bit hard to find numbering system very confusing , we stopped at one place they said we were the 4 th people at the wrong address

  • Lovely with a few things missing ❤ – Emma from Finland – June 24, 2025 (7/10)

It was clean, comfortable- on the ground level so very helpful and free streetside parking

What could be improved: It was wierd that there was no dining table anywhere – no where to eat but on the sofas which doesn't feel respectful to the property with a child
The lounge was large so there was space for a table and chairs
Also wierd that we couldn't just put normal TV on. It's nice to have a TV but a bit silly if it's complicated to just turn on the local free to air TV- maybe we are just not technical enough to put TV on 🤣🤣🤣
It was also wierd that the kitchen cuboards were labeled with certain items – like wine glasses – but there were no wine glasses- if you are going to be nice enough to label the cuboards to show where things are…it's good to actually have those items 🤣

  • Nice apartment, just needs some repairs and better ventilation – Emma from United Kingdom – May 1, 2025 (6/10)

Very clean, can tell apartment was clean upon walking in and had a very fresh smell which was nice. Tv had Netflix, lamps in the bedroom

What could be improved: The bathroom was a slight bit cramped, but other than that bathroom was great and clean, the front door lock was broken and hanging on by a nail. The sofa was dented in a few places and also the double bed was dented on one side. Unfortunately was no fans in the apartment and it wasn’t well vented so it got very stuffy during the stay.

  • Good – Luke from United Kingdom – March 29, 2025 (7/10)

Nice enough flat with respectful and quiet neighbours. Walking distance from local shops and a few nice takeaways near by.

What could be improved: I wouldn't stay in the neighbourhood if it wasn't for work as it was very industrial. Flat could do with some decorating and care and attention. Didn't receive access instructions till literally a few minutes before checkin.

  • Very Good – Mcintosh from United Kingdom – February 16, 2025 (8/10)

Apartment was clean a tidy. Good location for town centre.

What could be improved: Only half a toilet roll when we got there for 4 adults. The sink plug couldn't be removed. There was also a few loose wires sticking out the walls. Would still stay again.

  • Nice apartment. Great price. If you have a car it's within easy reach of all amenities in Glasgow. – Brian from Ireland – September 2, 2024 (8/10)

Nice spacious apartment. Good cooking facilities. A short drive from the centre of Glasgow.

What could be improved: The Wi-Fi code on the wireless gateway didn't work, even though the Internet was clearly working and the TV was connected . We called the person looking after the apartment but they didn't resolve our issue.

  • Good location for Hampden at a reasonable price – Scott from United Kingdom – November 21, 2023 (6/10)

Close to Hampden which was perfect for us. Big spacious rooms

What could be improved: On arrival i put a bottle of Irn bru in the fridge, and the cleaners promptly threw it in the bin! They apologised and said they would replace it but didn't. Shower wasn't great, but everything else was.

  • Ok – Denise from Australia – October 7, 2023 (8/10)

It was spacious, clean and modern

What could be improved: It was a bit unnerving driving into the area at night- not sure how safe the area was, but saying that the neighbours were quiet. Not an area I would walk through at night

  • Good value for money in Glasgow. – Nina from Australia – October 6, 2023 (8/10)

Good value for money. Clean and free on street parking.

  • Perfect for a short stay if planning to explore! Very clean. – Molly from United Kingdom – September 19, 2023 (8/10)

The property was a lot more spacious than expected and quiet being on a residential road. The apartment was very clean too and a few toiletries were provided.

What could be improved: The utilities were very sparse, no pots just one frying pan, no wine glasses despite labels indicating as such. Salt, pepper, tea and some coffee were provided but no olive oil or anything more extensive. There were quite a few wires twisting out of the walls too both in the hallway and the kitchen cupboards.
