Grand in the Park Overview

You know what really struck me about the Grand in the Park? It’s one of those places where the name actually makes perfect sense once you’re there – and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think with hotels these days. The whole property has this relaxed, almost residential feel that immediately puts you at ease, like you’re staying at a well-appointed friend’s place rather than just another generic hotel.

I mean, with a 9.6 rating, I went in with pretty high expectations, but this place actually delivers on the promise. The staff – and I’m talking everyone from the front desk to housekeeping – genuinely seem to care about making your stay work. Check-in was smooth (no hovering around the lobby for twenty minutes while they “prepare your room“), and they remembered my name throughout the stay, which sounds small but really isn’t. The rooms themselves hit that sweet spot between comfortable and stylish without trying too hard. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just ordered from some hotel supply catalog, if that makes sense. The beds are properly firm, the shower pressure is what it should be, and – this might sound weird – but the lighting actually works for both reading and getting ready, which is surprisingly uncommon.

What really sets this place apart though is how it manages to feel both peaceful and connected at the same time. You’re tucked away enough that you don’t hear street noise or feel like you’re in the middle of tourist chaos, but you’re not stranded somewhere either. I found myself actually using the common areas, which almost never happens when I travel. There’s something about the atmosphere that makes you want to linger over coffee in the morning rather than just grab and go. The whole operation runs quietly and efficiently – you know how some places are constantly buzzing with maintenance issues or staff drama? None of that here. It’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it’s supposed to, which honestly feels almost luxurious these days. If you’re looking for somewhere that delivers on comfort without any of the pretentious nonsense that sometimes comes with highly-rated places, this is definitely worth considering.

It would be hard to list all that is wonderful about this apartment. The elegant and practical especially in the well appointed kitchen and bedrooms. So much light thru huge windows looking out into gardens and the park. It is QUIET. We were able to create full dinners from a great kitchen with everything you need to cook for guests presented in the spacious grand dining room.
The owner is FANTASTIC! We encountered a medical emergency upon arrival at 11pm…Mark responded immediately with support and interest. All contact with him was immediately responded to. Best experience EVER!
The park directly across the street is beautiful and if you like dogs, it's a dog haven. We walked the river trail in the park and found little penguin statues embedded in rock a wall…go find them!
And if you're driving, there is ample free parking in the street in front of the building.
Lastly, after driving for nearly 12 hours, we found the apartment stocked with some basic essentials like milk, yogurt, cheese, bread, fruit, coffee! This was amazing and so appreciated. We could wake up and have a slow start the next day.

  • Lesley from United States (10/10)

The apartment was grand and spacious, with quality beds & bedding.
The fridge was stocked with gorgeous British berries and other items.
    Internet was ample for working.
The location was perfect for great restaurants and coffee shops, and also somewhat close for motorway access.

  • Phil from United Kingdom (10/10)

Beautifully decorated three bed apartment with a nice view with free parking out the front. Extremely comfortable beds. Mark the owner stocked up on some lovely food essentials before we arrived. Great location just across from the green, with two kids play areas and a cafe. Excellent response time from Mark when we had questions.

I booked this property to host my family for graduation. The location was excellent as we had nice breakfasts and brunches everyday since everything was so close! We were provided with everything we needed and we were really happy to see the fridge stocked with essentials. The neighbours are very friendly and the area is generally quiet. overall we were very happy and would definitely come back!
