The staff seemed to genuinely know the area too; the front desk guy gave me a heads up about street closures during a Celtic match that saved me a lot of hassle getting back that evening. It’s those small, local insights that make the difference between a decent stay and one where you actually feel like you’re experiencing the city properly.
