You’re not stuck in the touristy center where everything’s overpriced and crowded, but you’re not stranded in the middle of nowhere either. Getting into the heart of Glasgow takes maybe fifteen minutes by car, and there’s decent bus connections if you don’t fancy driving. The neighborhood itself has that lived-in feel – you’ll see people walking their dogs, kids heading to school, the occasional friendly nod from locals. It’s the kind of area where you can pop to the corner shop for milk without feeling like an obvious tourist. The 9.6 rating honestly doesn’t surprise me at all – I’ve stayed in five-star hotels that felt less welcoming than this place. Sure, it’s not going to have a concierge or room service, but when you’ve got a comfortable bed, reliable WiFi, and that rare luxury of your own parking space, what more do you actually need?
