Lovely two bed apartment in Finnieston Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Lovely two bed apartment in Finnieston on Finnieston Street, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the name alone. But you know what? Sometimes the most straightforward names hide the best surprises. This 4-star apartment sits right in the heart of one of Glasgow‘s coolest neighborhoods, and I mean that – Finnieston has this incredible energy that’s part hipster haven, part local community, and somehow it all just works.
The apartment itself actually exceeded my expectations in ways I didn’t anticipate. Sure, it’s got the two bedrooms as advertised, but what really struck me was how thoughtfully everything was set up. The kitchen isn’t just functional – it’s actually stocked with decent cookware, which matters if you’re like me and get tired of eating out every meal (plus, the nearby shops on Argyle Street are perfect for grabbing fresh ingredients). The living space has this comfortable, lived-in feel without being cluttered, and honestly, after spending days walking around Glasgow’s city center, sinking into that couch felt like a small miracle. The bedrooms are genuinely restful too – I was worried about street noise given the central location, but the windows do a solid job of keeping things quiet enough for proper sleep.
What I really love about staying here though is the neighborhood itself. Finnieston is having this amazing moment right now – you’ve got the Finnieston crane looming nearby (which sounds industrial but is actually kind of iconic), and you’re walking distance to some seriously good restaurants. I mean, you can stumble to Ox and Finch if you’re feeling fancy, or just grab something casual at one of the pubs along the strip. The West End is practically at your doorstep, so getting to Kelvingrove Park or the university area is a breeze, but you’re also close enough to the city center that you don’t feel disconnected. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle – it’s mostly street parking around there, and weekends get busy – but that’s pretty typical for this part of town. The 8.2 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but it delivers exactly what it promises and does it well. If you want to feel like you’re actually living in Glasgow for a few days rather than just visiting, this place gets it right.

Great, roomy apartment with all the amenities provided for to enjoy our stay. Location was perfect for attending an event at the SEC, and walking distance to central Glasgow bars and shops.
What could be improved: Nothing to dislike really, but be mindful that the doors can slam a bit if left to close themselvesGreat location, well equipped and comfortable apartment with parking – Tanny from United Kingdom – October 20, 2024 (9/10)

Everything
What could be improved: NothingI enjoyed the quiet location close to the center and train station. – Zuzana from United Kingdom – May 30, 2025 (8/10)
Facilities were good and the place met my needs.
Great location for the Hydro and city centre – Ap from Guernsey – May 21, 2025 (7/10)
The location was excellent and parking easy.
The apartment was spacious and clean.
The communication with the owners was good and quick.
The beds were comfortable.
Having adjustable heating was good.
What could be improved: A few finishing touches would have been nice – it was basic and functional, which essentially wasn't a problem. Matching cups and crockery, mats/ coasters for the table would be good. Matching good quality hangers would be better than mismatched metal ones. Toiletries in the bathrooms were inexpensive and left over from previous occupants.
Had to ask for a second set of keys as there were three of us – this was accommodated quickly, as was a new light bulb. The blinds need a fix and so does one of the sofas, which makes a big squeak when sitting on it!
