You’re literally in the thick of Glasgow‘s West End here, and I mean the real West End – not some tourist interpretation of it. Step outside and you’ve got Byres Road’s buzz just around the corner, while the leafy streets stretch toward the university in one direction and Kelvingrove Park in the other.

What struck me most was how this place manages to feel like a proper home rather than just another rental. The three bedrooms are genuinely spacious (and I’m not just saying that because I’m used to cramped city flats), with enough room that you won’t be tripping over each other if you’re traveling with family or friends. The living area flows naturally, and honestly, the kitchen is better equipped than my own flat – which is saying something since I actually cook. You know what I really appreciated? The attention to practical details. There’s proper storage space, the Wi-Fi actually works throughout the apartment, and the heating is reliable (crucial for those damp Glasgow winters). The windows are thick enough that street noise isn’t really an issue, even though you’re right in the heart of everything.

The location is what seals the deal for me, though. Otago Street puts you within easy walking distance of Ashton Lane – you’ll want to duck down there for drinks at the tiny basement bars – and the whole Hillhead scene. The subway station is close enough that getting into the city center takes maybe ten minutes, but far enough that you feel like you’re living in a neighborhood rather than a tourist zone. I’ve stayed here during festival season and it gets lively, but never overwhelmingly so. The local shops are the kind where the owners remember your face after a couple of visits, and there’s a decent coffee place practically on your doorstep. Parking can be a bit tricky (welcome to the West End), but it’s manageable with a bit of patience. The 8.4 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s not trying to be a flashy hotel with concierge service, but it delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable, well-located base that feels authentic to the area. If you want to experience Glasgow like someone who actually lives here rather than just passing through, this is your spot.

    Apartment was a great find! We had a really comfortable stay. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. Whole apartment was spacious. It was easy to locate. Communication was swift and helpful when we had a bit of trouble getting in. Would recommend.

    It was spacious and had the little extras for machine washing and dish washing however the towels were extremely small and no shelf space for personal items in our bathroom.

    What could be improved: Our shower didn't work! 4 had to share a bathroom which we booked specifically for 2 x bathrooms. The rugs in our bedroom and the lounge area was so dirty I had to keep my shoes on at all times. The towels provided were small and would have suited young children. Communication with owner/staff was very limited and caused issues when no reply for long periods of time. Very Disappointed especially when they use the description "luxurious" in their title.

    Gorgeous property and really close to some lovely places in the west end. Easy check in. Really mates needs of a weekend away.

    What could be improved: Communication could have been a little better, no response to how to work the tv’s and response about where there is parking was “around the corner” but there isn’t. However with a suspected leak, response was really prompt and helpful, this wasn’t a leak and something resolved through the communication. There were some pants under the bed that were not ours! Recommend that you use Just Park to book a parking space somewhere in advance.

    Good central location. Quiet street. Comfortable property.

    What could be improved: Not receiving the pin to enter the flat. Not being able to reach the owner for a couple of hours.
    Most power cables had been taken from wireless chargers and games console, so couldn't be used. Batteries missing from some remote controls. No terrestrial TV available.
