Luxury Riverview City Centre Apartment Overview

You know what struck me first about the Luxury Riverview City Centre Apartment? It’s actually in this gorgeous Victorian sandstone building on Clyde Street that I’d walked past dozens of times without realizing there was such a gem tucked away inside. I mean, the address says it all – you’re literally eight floors up overlooking the River Clyde, and honestly, the views from those big windows are something else entirely.

The thing about staying here is that you get this perfect mix of having your own space (it’s a proper apartment, not just a hotel room) while being right in the thick of everything in Glasgow. The Merchant City is basically on your doorstep – I could walk to the Gallery of Modern Art in about three minutes, and all those brilliant little bars and restaurants along Ingram Street were so close I probably overdid it a bit. The apartment itself has this boutique hotel vibe without all the fuss of star ratings and corporate nonsense. Everything feels carefully chosen rather than just ordered from some hotel catalog, if that makes sense. The kitchen actually works (I made coffee every morning and even attempted haggis and eggs one day), and there’s proper space to spread out your stuff instead of living out of a suitcase.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – you’d think being right in the city center would mean constant noise, but once you’re up on the eighth floor, it’s surprisingly peaceful. Well, except for the occasional late-night reveler stumbling down Clyde Street, but that’s just Glasgow being Glasgow. The building’s got character too – those old lifts that make you feel slightly nervous but somehow add to the charm. Parking was actually easier than I expected around there, though I’d recommend the multi-story on Mitchell Street if you’re driving. The whole area comes alive during the day with office workers and students, then transforms into this buzzing nightlife scene after dark. I found myself just sitting by the window some evenings watching the river and the lights reflecting off the water – sounds cheesy, but it was genuinely lovely. For the money, especially with that 8.2 rating that guests keep giving it, you’re getting something pretty special here. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it nails that sweet spot of comfort, location, and character that makes you feel like you’re actually living in Glasgow rather than just passing through it.

To book a hotel in Glasgow during major cultural festivals, travelers need early planning as this vibrant Scottish city draws visitors eager to experience its Victorian heritage and modern artistic scene.

Reviews of Luxury Riverview City Centre Apartment

  • Very Good – Karen from United Kingdom – June 22, 2025 (8/10)

The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The beds were super comfy. The kitchen and bathrooms were extremely clean and well equipped.

What could be improved: Only having one key was an issue.
As it was hot we had the windows open. This meant that it was extremely noisy until very late at night from the adjacent railway line/station. We appreciated the mobile electric fans .

  • Comfortable apartment in a great location – Derek from United Kingdom – September 2, 2024 (8/10)

Excellent location close to all amenities in a very vibrant area. Great views. We enjoyed spending evenings in the apartment after busy days out.

  • Comfortable well equipped apartment with great views. – Janice from United Kingdom – August 20, 2024 (8/10)

Very comfortable beds and spacious lounge/kitchen

What could be improved: The 5th bed was an air mattress and we weren’t aware of this.
There were 3 available but 2 were burst. We thought the 2nd one was fine but required re inflating frequently. We only required it for one night therefore didn’t need to try the 3rd. It may be an idea to remove the obsolete ones.

  • Lovely apartment but bad WiFi – Alice from United Kingdom – June 10, 2024 (7/10)

Great location and views and super comfy beds

What could be improved: TV and WiFi were extremely slow (pretty unusable), heating didn’t work when we tried to turn on at thermostat

  • Wonderful – Sue from United Kingdom – July 25, 2023 (9/10)

    The view sand two bathrooms

What could be improved: No recycling, bed a bit small.

  • Very helpful and amazing stuff – Ahmed from United Arab Emirates – September 19, 2022 (9/10)

    very friendly staff
provided low rate parking for my car
    balcony

  • Relaxing – Sathya from United Kingdom – July 19, 2025 (8/10)

Apartment is in the centre of the city and is convenient to reach every where around Glasgow.

What could be improved: The WiFi did not work but we were told it was because of a festival that was on going at that time.

  • Excellent location good host and very comfortable – Vance from United Kingdom – October 22, 2023 (8/10)

Liked facilities good to have coffee machine, good TV central location, nicely decorated and clean

What could be improved: Secondary glazing would be good but not essential

  • A very comfortable & enjoyable stay with helpful staff. – Jacqueline from United Kingdom – July 28, 2023 (8/10)

A very modern, bright and clean apartment which is centrally located.

What could be improved: The broadband was very slow for a luxury apartment.

  • City break with great views – Cole from United Kingdom – July 6, 2023 (7/10)

Location was great with fabulous views. Train noise didn't bother us. We enjoyed the city feel. Loads of restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets nearby. Spacious well equipped living area and kitchen. Over all it was a good base for seeing the city.

What could be improved: Decor was a little tired and therefore didn't feel luxury. Over all the apartment was clean but skirtings were dusty in places and the mat in one of the bedrooms looked a little grubby.. Plastic plants don't give a luxury impression. We asked about the heating as it was a bit chilly in the evening. That didn't get resolved but fair enough it is July!
