Mitchell Street Glasgow Apartment Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about the Mitchell Street Glasgow Apartment? I was expecting just another generic city center rental, but this place actually has character – and I mean that in the best way possible. The building sits right in the thick of things on Mitchell Street, which honestly is perfect if you’re the type who wants to stumble out your front door and be surrounded by Glasgow’s energy immediately. I’m talking proper Glasgow here – the kind where you can hear the city humming even when you’re four floors up.
The apartment itself surprised me with how thoughtfully it’s been set up. Someone clearly put real effort into making this feel like a home rather than just a place to crash. The kitchen actually works (I mean, you can cook a proper meal, not just heat up instant noodles), and there’s this lovely little sitting area by the window where I spent way too much time people-watching. The morning light comes in beautifully, though fair warning – Glasgow being Glasgow, you’ll get your share of grey days too, but somehow the apartment stays bright anyway. The bedroom’s genuinely comfortable – I slept better here than I have in some five-star hotels, if I’m being honest.
What I really appreciated was the attention to detail without going overboard. There’s good WiFi (crucial for me), plenty of hot water, and the heating actually works properly – trust me, that matters in Scotland. The location means you’re walking distance to basically everything worth seeing, but here’s the thing nobody tells you: Mitchell Street can get a bit lively on weekend nights. It’s not terrible, just Glasgow being Glasgow, but light sleepers might want to pack earplugs. During the week though? Perfect. You’re close enough to Central Station that getting around is effortless, and there’s this fantastic little coffee shop around the corner that locals actually use – always a good sign. I found myself popping down there most mornings before heading out to explore. The whole experience felt less like staying in tourist accommodation and more like borrowing a friend’s really nice city flat for a few days, which is exactly what you want in a place like this.
Best hotels in Glasgow range from luxurious properties in the historic city center to boutique hotels with stunning views of the River Clyde and magnificent Victorian architecture.

The apartment itself was wonderful! Clean, spacious, well equipped. Fantastic location. Very quiet at night. We parked our rental car in the public garage next door and didn't touch it for 3 days because we were able to walk everywhere.

The apartment is situated right in the heart of Glasgow city centre and surrounded with restaurants, bars and shops. A perfect base to enjoy the best parts of the city and all it has to offer. Craig is a fantastic host and he has equipped the apartment with everything you need to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible! Getting a city centre apartment with an incredibly helpful and accommodating host is a rare find, and for that alone we would book with Craig again!

The space is fantastic, the living room is so comfy you really feel at home , the soundproofing for the bedroom is brilliant, you can sit in the living room and listen to all the sounds of the inner city and when it’s time to go to bed – silence…
Craig is a fantastic host and will always answer in a timely manner and try his hardest to accommodate any requests.
Thanks Craig – I would definitely stay again …Evelyn from Australia (10/10)
