I’ve stayed in city center hotels where you’re circling blocks for twenty minutes looking for a spot that costs more per night than some people’s rent.

What really got me though was how much space you actually get here. Five bedrooms means this place works whether you’re traveling with a big group or you just want to spread out properly – and honestly, after months of cramped hotel rooms, having actual room to breathe felt almost luxurious. The kitchen is properly equipped too, not just those sad hotel kitchenettes with a kettle and some questionable cutlery. I mean, you can actually cook here if you want to, which is brilliant when you’re staying for more than a couple nights and getting tired of restaurant meals. The whole place has this comfortable, lived-in feeling that somehow manages to be both homey and clean at the same time.

From Belvidere Terrace, you’re actually really well positioned for exploring both the traditional Glasgow spots and some of the more interesting bits that most tourists miss entirely. The Merchant City isn’t far at all, and you can walk to Glasgow Green easily – which locals will tell you is underrated, especially on those rare sunny Scottish days. Plus you’re close enough to the city center that you don’t feel cut off from everything, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with Friday night chaos right outside your window. The 9.1 rating honestly makes sense once you’ve been there – it’s one of those places that just works, you know? No major complaints, solid value, and you leave feeling like you got a proper taste of what it’s like to actually live in Glasgow rather than just pass through it.

    We found the property to be perfect for our two night stay in Glasgow. Well equipped kitchen, nice living room area to relax and very comfortable beds.

    What could be improved: Everything was great! One thing that would have been useful was some cleaning spray for us to use to give the tables and worktops a wipe down after cooking and eating but there is a shop a 3 minute walk away that stocks various items.

    What could be improved: When we arrived, we didn't know how to get into the house. The details had not been sent over. We stood outside for a while, trying to figure out what to do. I called the host, and he sent them over then.

    The outside areas are not well looked after. There was rubbish in both gardens.

    The house was not properly cleaned. There were hairs in the shower, the floor was sticky and grime on the cupboards and skirting boards.
    I contacted the host to tell him. His response was that the original cleaner had an emergency, and he had to use a different cleaner. However, the lack of cleanliness is not from one bad clean.

    The floor boards are really creaky. It's very noisy when people are going up and down the stairs.

    The cooker hood was full of grime and grease.

    There was pubic hair on the landing!

    The heaters were full of dust.

    The level of cleanliness is what will stop us booking again.

    The decor was absolutely beautiful, a very modern and clean house. So much space for our family of 10. We didn’t want to leave. The location isn’t too far from Central and there’s so many shopping centre’s close by too.

    What could be improved: It is located close to Celtic football ground so lots of traffic on those days, try miss those days haha!
