Moment Blythswood St Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Moment Blythswood St? It’s tucked right into one of Glasgow‘s most understated streets, and honestly, I almost walked past it the first time. The entrance has this quietly confident thing going on – not shouting for attention like some of the flashier places nearby, but you can tell there’s something good happening inside.
I mean, Blythswood Street isn’t exactly where tourists usually end up wandering, but that’s actually part of the charm here. You’re literally a three-minute stroll from all the Merchant City action, but when you step outside in the morning, it feels more like you’re staying in a neighborhood rather than smack in the tourist zone. The street itself has character – those typical Glasgow sandstone buildings that look stern but somehow welcoming at the same time. And the walk to George Square or the shopping district on Buchanan Street? Easy enough that you’ll find yourself popping back to drop off bags or grab a jacket without thinking twice about it.
What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between feeling boutique-y and actually being functional. The rooms have this modern thing happening without trying too hard – you know, clean lines and decent lighting (thank god, because so many places get that wrong), but they haven’t stripped out all the personality. The bathrooms are properly sized too, which honestly matters more than people admit when you’re trying to get ready in the morning. I’ve stayed in places where you practically have to step into the hallway to dry your hair. Here, there’s actually space to spread out your stuff. The beds are solid – not too soft, not like sleeping on concrete – and the walls are thick enough that you’re not getting a play-by-play of your neighbor’s phone conversations.
Check-in was smooth, no drama, and the staff actually seemed to know the area when I asked about dinner recommendations. They pointed me toward a couple of spots on Bath Street that I never would’ve found otherwise – not the obvious tourist places, but proper local haunts where the food was genuinely good. That kind of local knowledge makes a difference, especially in Glasgow where some of the best stuff is hiding in plain sight.
The whole vibe here works because it doesn’t feel like they’re trying to be something they’re not. It’s a well-run 3-star that punches above its weight without the pretension you sometimes get at places trying too hard to seem fancy. The 9.4 rating makes sense when you actually stay here – everything just works the way it should, and in a city like Glasgow where you want to be out exploring most of the time anyway, that’s exactly what you need. Plus, having Central Station so close means you can easily do day trips if you want to see more of Scotland, but honestly, Glasgow itself will keep you plenty busy.
Glasgow hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in this UNESCO City of Music, known for its vibrant nightlife, industrial heritage, and world-class music venues.

The apartment was well equipped, modern and centrally located. You can step outside and immerse yourself in the city centre and also close your door and get a good nights sleep (which I can vouch for the sofa bed also!) This was a last minute booking and had no reviews at time of booking and I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the beautiful well thought out decor, toiletries and facilities you would need for a comfortable stay, cosy bedding, and the little touches to make your stay feel homely and the wonderful staff. Thank you for a fabulous stay and I look forward to booking again soon!
What could be improved: Nothing I could say negativeExceptional – Ioana from United Kingdom – July 31, 2025 (10/10)
Lovely apartment in the heart of Glasgow! We loved the location, the bed, the pillows, and the sofa that opened into a bed. Beautiful, clean apartment equipped with all you need, including a washing machine.
I initially booked for just one night because of the few reviews the apartment had, I was afraid it could be bad, but it turned out to be very good, so we booked it again. Loved it, would book again , definitely recommend it!
What could be improved: Nothing, all was great!Exceptional – Noémie from United Kingdom – July 31, 2025 (10/10)

Amazing, will definitely book again! – Lisa from United Kingdom – July 29, 2025 (10/10)
The property was absolutely beautiful. Finished to a very high standard. Right in the centre of Glasgow. The owners were very lovely and friendly too, checked in to make sure everything was going ok and even offered us an extra night for free which unfortunately we couldn’t do!
What could be improved: If I had to pick something I would say that a fan or two would have been lovely. It was pretty warm in Glasgow when we stayed. We opened the windows but couldn’t sleep with them open due to the noise of traffic etc. but apart from that which was more of an us problem it was 10/10Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this place! – Zimei from China – July 29, 2025 (10/10)
I had a wonderful stay at this property! The apartment is very new, clean, and well-maintained. The bed linens and quilts were comfortable, making the stay very pleasant. The location is excellent, with two supermarkets just a short walk away, which made daily life very convenient. The kitchen is well-equipped, and toiletries for showering were also thoughtfully provided — you can basically move in without needing to prepare much.
What could be improved: One small downside is that the building doesn’t have an elevator, so if you’re traveling with elderly people or anyone with mobility issues, it’s best to inform the host in advance. Also, cooking oil was not provided in the kitchen, so you might want to bring or buy some.Great appartments and so lovely decorated – Doreen from United Kingdom – July 27, 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: Just a mention about the stairs in there advertisement
