No 54 – New & delightful 3 bed house in East Kilbride Overview

I’ll be honest, when I first saw the address for No 54 – New & delightful 3 bed house in East Kilbride, I was a bit confused – it’s listed under Glasgow but you’re actually staying in East Kilbride, which is about 20 minutes south of the city center. But you know what? That turned out to be one of the best things about this place. You get all the benefits of being close to Glasgow without the city noise and parking nightmares, and honestly, the train connections from East Kilbride into town are pretty decent.

The house itself is genuinely new – I mean, you can still smell that fresh paint and carpet smell when you walk in, which some people love and others… well, you know. What really impressed me was how thoughtfully everything’s been set up. The three bedrooms are actually proper sizes (not those cramped spaces you sometimes get in holiday rentals), and whoever furnished this place clearly stayed in enough rubbish accommodations to know what matters. The kitchen has everything you’d actually need, including a decent coffee maker – small thing, but it matters when you’re getting ready for a day exploring the city. The living area’s comfortable without being fancy, and there’s this nice big window that looks out onto Loch Assynt street, which is pretty quiet most of the time.

East Kilbride gets a bad rap sometimes, but staying here gave me a different perspective on the area. It’s one of those post-war new towns that’s grown into itself over the decades, and honestly, it works well as a base. You’ve got proper shops nearby (the shopping center is massive, though not particularly charming), and when you want to head into Glasgow, you’re not dealing with city center chaos at the end of a long day. The neighbors seem friendly enough – I had a brief chat with someone walking their dog who gave me some good tips about parking in town. Speaking of which, you’ll have no parking issues here, which is worth its weight in gold if you’re driving. The street’s residential and quiet, though you do get the occasional bit of traffic in the mornings when people are heading to work. That 9.4 rating makes total sense when you consider the practical stuff – clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and the host responds quickly to messages. It’s not going to win any design awards, but sometimes you just want a place that works properly, you know? Perfect for families or groups who want space to spread out and a proper base for exploring Glasgow and the surrounding area without paying city center prices.

Apartments in Glasgow provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Scottish markets and experience daily life in historic Victorian neighborhoods.

Reviews of No 54 – New & delightful 3 bed house in East Kilbride

  • It was really amazing staying in property and our family enjoyed – Irfan from United Arab Emirates – August 10, 2025 (10/10)

It was at very nice place from where we can go anywhere near to destination we plan for our trip .

What could be improved: Ground floor bath area and sink was very narrow and water was accumulating in bath .

  • Clean and comfortable – Kateryna from Ukraine – August 11, 2024 (9/10)

Very good location close to Glasgow and there is a big shopping centre nearby.
It was clean. Lots of parking places.
There was a small issue which owner has fixed very quickly.

What could be improved: kitchen hood is not there.

  • House is in a great location , quiet area , clean and well equipped ! – Lorraine from United Kingdom – July 30, 2024 (10/10)

The house was in a peaceful location and 2 minutes from local shop , great base for Glasgow sightseeing. Super clean and well equipped . Great communication from host . Would definitely return

  • Exceptional – Rhian from United Kingdom – July 15, 2024 (10/10)

The house was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very quick with responded to messages.

What could be improved: There's a Tesco local pub but when we visited the local town there was very little open and no where apart from Wetherspoons did food after 6pm.

  • Great house, lovely neighbours!! – Alan from Australia – May 12, 2024 (9/10)

House is brilliant, very neat and tidy. Its obviously not a central location but well serviced with public bus routes.

What could be improved: Some of the furniture won't last long, bit cheap and poorly constructed.

  • Very Good – Jeremy from United Kingdom – July 26, 2025 (8/10)

    Great place. Clean and comfortable.

What could be improved: There were carpet nails/staples not fully in on the stairs. As I had a finishing hammer with me, I took care of most of theses but don't think I got them all.

  • Happy comfy and clean place to stay – Anonymous from United Kingdom – August 12, 2025 (9/10)

What could be improved: Parking space

  • Glasgow, East Kilbride otthon – Tamás from Hungary – August 12, 2025 (10/10)

Nagyon jól felszerelt, nagyon szép lakás. Kiváló környezetben, csendes, barátságos szomszédság volt.
    Minden információt megkaptunk a beköltözéshez.
    Bármikor visszamennénk.
A környéket, Glasgow -t, loch Lomond-ot és az Inveraray kastélyt látogatunk meg. Mesés helyek Skóciában.
Csak ajánlani tudom a szállást és vendéglátót.

What could be improved: Nem volt olyan, ami nem tetszett volna.
