The buses into the city center are frequent, and there’s something satisfying about taking the subway from Hillhead – it’s this tiny underground system that locals are oddly proud of. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to feel like I was actually experiencing Glasgow rather than just ticking off tourist boxes. It’s not trying to be anything other than what it is – a comfortable base in one of the city’s most characterful neighborhoods.
