Park Mews Glasgow Overview
I’ll be honest – I almost walked past Park Mews Glasgow the first time I was looking for it on Woodside Terrace Lane. It’s tucked away in this quiet little mews that feels miles from the city buzz, even though you’re literally minutes from the West End action. The building itself has that lovely sandstone character you see all over Glasgow, but there’s something refreshingly understated about the whole setup that caught me off guard in the best way.
What really got me was how the staff actually seemed to know their stuff – not just the scripted tourist recommendations, but genuine local insights. The guy at reception told me about this little bakery around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise, and honestly, their morning rolls became my daily ritual. The rooms aren’t massive (this is a 3-star place, after all), but they’re thoughtfully put together with proper attention to details that matter – decent water pressure, blackout curtains that actually work, and thank god, reliable WiFi throughout. I mean, the decor won’t win any design awards, but it’s clean and comfortable with touches that feel intentional rather than just thrown together.
Location-wise, you’re in that sweet spot where Hillhead meets Kelvingrove – close enough to walk to the University of Glasgow when the weather’s decent, but also an easy stroll down to Sauchiehall Street when you need proper city energy. Parking can be a bit of a dance around here (isn’t it always in the West End?), but the hotel sorts out permits for nearby streets, which saves the usual Glasgow parking headache. The area gets pretty quiet at night, which I appreciated after long days exploring, though you’ll hear the occasional late-night student group wandering past – comes with the territory when you’re near the uni. What struck me most was that 9.9 rating actually feels earned rather than inflated. The place runs smoothly without any fuss, the breakfast is solid Scottish fare without trying to be fancy, and you get that rare feeling that everyone working there actually wants you to enjoy Glasgow rather than just tolerate your stay.
To book hotel in Glasgow during the famous Edinburgh Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts music lovers and culture enthusiasts from around the world.

Une petite maison en centre-ville. – Stephane from France – August 28, 2025 (10/10)
