PREMIER – Maryhill Apartment Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard about PREMIER – Maryhill Apartment, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The whole “unique boutique hotel without official star rating” thing had me curious, but you know what? Sometimes those are exactly the places that surprise you the most. And this one absolutely delivers with its impressive 4.9 rating that, after staying there, makes complete sense.

The location on Maryhill Road is actually brilliant if you know Glasgow at all. You’re in this lovely residential area that feels authentically Scottish – none of that touristy stuff – but you can still get into the city center without any hassle. I mean, you’ve got the subway nearby, and honestly, walking around the neighborhood gives you this genuine sense of what it’s like to actually live in Glasgow rather than just visit it. The apartment itself sits at number 386, and there’s something charming about how it blends right into the streetscape while still feeling special once you’re inside.

What really struck me about this place is how thoughtfully everything’s been put together. You can tell someone actually cares about the guest experience here – not in that corporate, focus-group-tested way, but like… well, like how you’d want to treat a friend who’s visiting. The apartment has this lovely modern feel without being sterile, and the attention to detail is remarkable. I’m talking about things like proper lighting (you know how rare that is in rentals), a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking real meals, and just this overall sense that they’ve anticipated what you’d actually need during a stay. The 4.9 rating starts making sense when you realize how rare it is to find a place where everything just works properly.

Parking was surprisingly straightforward for this part of Glasgow – something I definitely appreciated since driving in the city center can be a bit of a nightmare. The check-in process was smooth, and honestly, the whole experience felt more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment than staying in a typical hotel. There’s this quieter, more residential vibe that I found refreshing, especially after dealing with the usual hotel corridor noise and generic breakfast rooms. You’re close enough to everything you’d want to see in Glasgow, but you get to retreat to this peaceful spot that actually feels like a proper home base. For travelers who want that authentic Glasgow experience without sacrificing comfort – or dealing with the unpredictability that sometimes comes with unrated accommodations – this place really delivers on both fronts.

Reviews of PREMIER – Maryhill Apartment

  • Unimpressed – Resinrite from United Kingdom – August 21, 2025 (6/10)

What could be improved: Tv and wifi not working when arrived, originally it was going to take 5 days to resolve ( only at the property 5 nights) then miraculously resolved the next day. I dont.understand when I have an account with booking.com the property owners require photo id ie driving licence and the back of the card I paid on, all via private message on whatsapp…not via booking.com. if not supplied then access code.would.not be supplied. Not impressed! This will not happen again

  • Shocking!! we left after 30mins and booked a hotel instead as the smell alone was horrific. My husband was all set to sl – Kirsten from United Kingdom – June 8, 2024 (1/10)

    Nothing!

What could be improved: The flat is difficult to find and when I rang for help I was told there was no on site parking so they directed me to 4 streets away. It was advertised as on site parking. I was told by the agents this had been auto generated by booking.com despite them previously asking for my car registration and details .
No coat hangers in any of the wardrobes.
The advertised hot tub was no where to be seen. I was told by the agents there was no hot tub and booking.com auto generated this in their advert.
The windows were old and would not stay open
The horrendous smell in the downstairs area of the flat. It reminded me of a care home – stale engrained urine. The agents felt this was an outside small but there were no outdoor odours.
The broken furniture and bags of household rubbish left outside of the side wall of the garden – unsightly.

  • Bad – Ambreen from United Kingdom – August 2, 2025 (1/10)

    The apartment was spacious.

What could be improved: Quite a lot of stuff I didn't like.
Firstly, the apartment is so dirty from outside the room was dirty.
Secondly, upon my arrival, the rooms had a horrible smell. It seemed like it's not been looked after. One sofa was damaged, and the coffee table and sofa were dusty.
Last but not least, the water was cold. I turned on the boiler, but no luck.
My children were not happy as they were unable to have a shower.

I did address all these issues to the number that was gjven to me and said he would send someone out to sort it all out. I got a text apologising that emergency has come up. When I booked the apartment, I was told if I needed anything and not happy to let them know straight away, which I did, and nothing was done. I asked for cleaning cloth as there were none. I just got ignored. It's not worth the price I paid for two nights £390.

Avoid booking this apartment unless you're happy with what you read and the price you pay is non refundable

  • Bad – Kenrick from Belgium – July 25, 2024 (1/10)

What could be improved: Geen gratis parking langs de accomodatie!
