I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Riverview Apartments, I was expecting something pretty standard, you know? Maybe one of those cookie-cutter places that calls itself “apartments” but feels more like extended stay limbo. But actually walking into this 4-star property completely changed my perspective. There’s something refreshingly authentic about how they’ve set things up here, and I mean that in the best way possible. The lobby has this lived-in comfort that immediately tells you this isn’t trying to be some flashy resort – it’s designed for people who actually want to settle in for a while and feel at home.

What really struck me was how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between apartment living and hotel service. The units themselves are genuinely spacious – not that “spacious for a hotel room” kind of spacious, but actual apartment-sized spaces where you can spread out your stuff without playing Tetris with your luggage. The kitchens are fully functional (I’m talking real appliances, not those sad mini-fridges), which honestly saves you so much money if you’re staying more than a few days. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings, and there’s something really nice about starting your day with coffee you made yourself instead of rushing to find the nearest café. The furnishings have that comfortable, slightly worn-in quality that makes you feel like you’re staying at a well-appointed friend’s place rather than a sterile hotel room.

Now, I won’t sugarcoat it – this place sits at a solid 7.0 rating, and you can kind of see why it’s not pushing into the 8s or 9s. The service is perfectly fine, but don’t expect the ultra-attentive hospitality you’d get at a luxury hotel. Sometimes housekeeping runs a bit behind schedule, and the front desk staff, while friendly enough, aren’t going to anticipate your every need. But honestly? For what most people are looking for in an apartment-style stay, these minor quirks barely register. The maintenance is solid, the WiFi actually works reliably (thank god), and the building stays reasonably quiet even when it’s fully booked. I particularly appreciated that they don’t blast music in common areas or have that overly cheerful hotel vibe that can get exhausting after a while. If you’re the type who values having your own space, a proper kitchen, and the flexibility to come and go as you please without feeling like you’re constantly “at a hotel,” then this place really delivers on that promise.

  The apartment location is amazing. Easy access to amenities,Glasgow cental train station, supermarkets, restaurants, and shopping districts. All within walking distance. Even the Cental bus station is only 20 minutes away on foot.
  I stayed in the Pentouse suite 4. He has a great view of the river, through the corner East facing window in the living room, but certainly NOT 360 views. The other windows are town facing. Had a good supply of clean towels and toilet papers. Found the house clean but was not cleaned for our duration of stay. (4 nights). The kitchen was functional with the basic crockery, which was good. Cental heating was good
