I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Scotstoun Appartments, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from a 3-star place in this part of town. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots end up being the ones that surprise you most. This little complex has that lived-in feel that makes you think actual people call it home, not just tourists passing through for a night or two.

The thing about Scotstoun is it’s got this genuine neighborhood vibe that’s hard to find these days. I mean, you’re not going to get marble lobbies or someone carrying your bags, but what you do get is space – actual apartment-style rooms where you can spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. The kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped (though I’d bring my own decent knife if you’re planning to do any real cooking), and there’s something refreshing about being able to grab groceries and make your own coffee in the morning instead of paying hotel prices for everything. The 7.5 rating makes sense to me – it’s solidly good without trying to be something it’s not.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, especially compared to some of the busier hotel strips you’ll find elsewhere. The walls aren’t paper-thin like some apartment conversions I’ve stayed in, and the neighbors tend to be a mix of longer-term guests and locals, so there’s less of that vacation party atmosphere that can get old fast. Parking was actually pretty straightforward too, which – let’s be real – can make or break a place when you’re dealing with rental cars and unfamiliar streets. The staff keeps things simple during check-in, no fuss, just keys and directions to your room. I did notice the Wi-Fi can get a bit spotty in some of the units (seems to depend on which side of the building you’re on), but honestly, that might not be the worst thing if you’re trying to actually disconnect for a bit. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a few days, establish a little routine, and feel like you’re getting a taste of what it might be like to actually live somewhere instead of just visiting.

    Two twin rooms, beds are very comfortable also towels and sheets are great clean and new, a lot of facility in the kitchen, super market is 5 min from the place, one is the room has big window for the internal yard with quit nice view
