Scotstoun 1 Bed Flat Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Scotstoun 1 Bed Flat, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name’s pretty straightforward, no fancy marketing spin, which actually turned out to be refreshing. This 4-star place sits in Glasgow’s Scotstoun area, and you know what? It’s one of those spots that grows on you once you understand the neighborhood.
The flat itself is actually really well put together – I mean, it’s clear someone took time to think about what travelers actually need rather than just throwing together generic hotel furniture. The bedroom’s got proper blackout curtains (thank goodness), and the living space doesn’t feel cramped like so many city flats do. What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup – it’s not just a token kitchenette with a broken microwave, but actually functional if you want to grab groceries from the nearby shops and cook something decent. The whole place has this lived-in comfort that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re staying at a friend’s place.
Location-wise, Scotstoun’s not the flashy tourist center, but that’s sort of the point. You’re close enough to the city center without dealing with the constant noise and crowds – I could actually sleep with the windows open, which is saying something for Glasgow. The area’s got that authentic residential feel where you’ll see actual Glaswegians going about their daily lives. There’s a decent pub within walking distance (locals will point you toward it), and honestly, the transport connections are better than you’d think. I found myself taking the train into the city center pretty easily, and parking wasn’t the nightmare it can be in other parts of Glasgow.
The 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not perfect, but it delivers on what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. Check-in was straightforward, the place was clean without that overpowering chemical smell some places have, and the WiFi actually worked properly. I did notice the shower pressure could be better, and the heating took a while to warm up the first morning, but these are minor things that didn’t really impact my stay. What impressed me was how quiet it stayed at night – you get the sense this is a building where people actually live and respect each other’s space.
If you’re looking for marble lobbies and room service, this isn’t your spot. But if you want a genuine base to explore Glasgow from, somewhere that feels more like staying in the city rather than being isolated in a tourist bubble, then this flat really works. The value’s solid too – you’re getting proper space and amenities without paying premium prices for a fancy hotel name. Plus, there’s something nice about having your own key to a real front door instead of fumbling with hotel keycards.
To book hotel in Glasgow during the famous Edinburgh Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts music lovers and culture enthusiasts from around the world.

Great location for course at GTG Venue on South Street.
Matthias from Germany (9/10)
Nice apartment, well taken care of and with enough space for two or three people. Would recommend, if you don't mind staying off-centre. Because, at first impression, when the city bus bringing you there goes on a highway and the house entrance looks somber, we briefly had second thoughts. But only until we opened the door – everything was as expected, we could relax, cook for ourselves and do our laundry. Just what we wanted for the half-time stop of our trip.

The location, and ease of access to places I wanted to go was great. Flat was very organised and spacious and I loved being able to have the Telly and have access to netflix.
Also loved the kitchen and a washer-dryer (althoufh I didn't use the latter much). I loved that I didn't have to rely on takeout for my meals.
Also host was very responsive and quick to reply to me when I had trouble with the radiators.Fitsum from United Kingdom (8/10)
