What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays despite being in such a bustling area; those windows must be doing some serious work because Glasgow’s city center can get pretty lively, especially on weekends.

The rooms themselves feel more like well-designed apartments than hotel rooms, which makes sense given Sonder’s whole approach. Everything’s clean and functional, but there’s character too – not that sterile chain hotel feeling you sometimes get. Actually, the neighborhood is perfect for exploring on foot; you can wander down to the Merchant City area in about five minutes, or head toward the river and check out the more modern developments along the Clyde. Honestly, with an 8.7 rating, I was expecting good things, but the location really is the star here – you’re genuinely in the thick of everything Glasgow has to offer. Check-in was smooth (mostly app-based, which some people love and others find a bit impersonal), and while it’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches, it delivers exactly what it promises: a smart, comfortable base for exploring one of Scotland’s most vibrant cities.

  The apartment was very comfortable and clean. The city centre location, which was ideal for everything we wanted to do, did mean there was some noise until around midnight (weekdays) but it was quiet until after 7 in the morning.
  
  What could be improved: There was an awful smell and stain on the carpet outside our room, which I've seen mentioned in other reviews. No idea why the tiles haven't been ripped up and new flooring sorted out. It's the only reason I've deducted any points. There were generally people loitering around the pedestrianised area outside late at night, but they were never an issue.

  Spacy and comfortable studio. With all the basics for cooking, including a good oven.
  
  What could be improved: However we Were given a room equiped with an accessible bathroom for disabled, which is fine functionality but not charming if you don't need it. And it was not advertised as such on Booking.
  Also the square in front of the building is very dirty. Although cleaning public space is a town responsibility, the Sonders could do a minimum and keep the space in front of their door clean.
