The moment I walked through that door on Mosspark Boulevard, it honestly felt more like staying at a thoughtful friend’s place than any typical accommodation. I mean, the private garden alone – and I’m talking about actual outdoor space where you can have your morning coffee without sharing it with fifty other guests – makes this spot something pretty special in Glasgow.

The thing is, this isn’t your standard hotel setup at all. It’s more like someone took a gorgeous flat in the southside and said “let’s make this perfect for travelers who actually want to live like locals for a few days.” The kitchen is properly stocked (not just a kettle and some sad instant coffee), and that garden? Well, it’s become my favorite spot to decompress after walking around the city all day. You’re far enough from the city center chaos that you’ll actually hear birds in the morning, but honestly, getting into town is straightforward – the transport links from this part of Glasgow are better than you’d expect.

What really gets me about this place is the attention to details that matter. The shower has proper water pressure (travelers know this is basically winning the lottery), the bed is comfortable enough that I’ve overslept more than once, and there’s actual storage space for your stuff. I’ve stayed in plenty of boutique places that look Instagram-perfect but forget you need somewhere to put your suitcase. Not here. The whole setup just works, and with that 9.5 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who thinks so. The southside location means you’re experiencing Glasgow how locals do – there’s a proper neighborhood feel here that you miss when you’re stuck in the tourist bubble downtown. Plus, and this might sound small, but having your own private outdoor space in a city? That’s actually pretty rare and wonderful, especially if you’re traveling during those long Scottish summer evenings when you want to sit outside with a drink and just watch the world slow down.

    Lovely 2 bed flat with 2 bathrooms , very clean and lovely little garden to sit in … modern look and perfect for our visit to a concert at Bellahouston Park as property was only a 4 or 5 minute walk.

    What could be improved: To be honest … there was 4 of us staying there and none of us had anything negative to say about the property.

    Nice and clean, very comfy living room area. Property had an en-suite bedroom which wasn’t clear on the listing, it was a major plus during our stay. Good kitchen facilities with a washing machine, freezer, fridge and oven with a gas hob which were all useful for my stay. The back garden area was lovely to sit in. Had tea/coffee, sugar, cooking oil etc so that was much appreciated. The location is great, with a nice Coffee Shop calling Rawlings across the road alongside a fish and chip shop. Morrisons Supermarket just a 10 minute walk along Paisley Road West. Other shops nearby were useful too. There’s a bus stop just a 2 minute walk which was useful for the City Centre.

    What could be improved: You could hear every step the upstairs neighbour made, their floors creaked.

    What could be improved: Not clean and a few things broken. However, its a nice apartment in a fine location but needs a bit of money spent on the showerroom as the big showerhead dripped all night. Decor was good and fine sized rooms.

    What could be improved: Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war am Anfang gut, dann aber schwierig und langwierig. Der Fundort der Schlüssel wurde erst sehr spät nach unserer Ankunft in Glasgow mitgeteilt und konnte nur ohne langes Suchen durch Mithilfe anderer Gäste bewerkstelligt werden. Der Fön war nicht, wie angegeben vorhanden. Ein versprochener Ersatz fand, trotz rechtzeitiger Angabe des Problems beim Vermieter leider nicht statt.
