Now, if you’ve never been to Glasgow Green, it’s this massive park that locals absolutely love but tourists somehow miss – which is honestly their loss. I’d wake up in the morning and take my coffee for a walk through the park, watching the dog walkers and joggers doing their thing. There’s something wonderfully authentic about starting your day alongside actual Glaswegians instead of a lobby full of tourists studying their phones. The People’s Palace is right there too, and it’s one of those gems that gives you real insight into the city’s working-class history. Plus, you’re close enough to the Merchant City that you can easily walk to the best bars and restaurants, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the weekend noise – though let’s be real, a bit of Glasgow weekend energy isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

The host clearly knows what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, everything was spotless, and there were those little touches that show someone actually cares about the guest experience. Fresh milk in the fridge, proper towels that don’t feel like sandpaper, reliable wifi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes. I mean, these things shouldn’t be remarkable, but after staying in places where half the amenities don’t work, you really appreciate when someone gets the basics right. The 9.2 rating honestly makes sense – this isn’t flashy or Instagram-perfect, but it’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring a city like Glasgow. You’ve got space to regroup, a genuine neighborhood feel, and you’re perfectly positioned to experience the city like someone who actually lives there rather than just passing through.
