Stunning Central Station 1 Bed Apartment A7 Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name Stunning Central Station 1 Bed Apartment A7, I was a bit skeptical. You know how these rental listings can oversell themselves, right? But walking up Union Street and finding this place, I actually understood what they were getting at. You’re literally a two-minute walk from Central Station, which means you can hear the distant rumble of trains if you really listen for it, but it’s not disruptive at all – more like white noise that reminds you you’re in the heart of Glasgow.

The apartment itself sits in one of those classic Glasgow tenement buildings that locals know well, with the high ceilings and original features you’d expect. What struck me was how they’ve managed to make a compact space feel quite livable – the bedroom gets decent natural light from the street-facing window, and honestly, the kitchen setup is better than some full-size flats I’ve stayed in. The shower has proper pressure too, which… well, anyone who’s traveled around Scotland knows that’s not always a given. I mean, it’s not luxury by any stretch, but everything works properly and feels clean. There’s this nice balance where it feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room.

Location-wise, you’re basically in the sweet spot for exploring the city center. Buchanan Street’s shopping is right there, and you can walk to the Merchant City area in about five minutes – perfect for those evenings when you want to grab dinner somewhere decent without dealing with taxis. The building entrance is right on Union Street, so there’s some street noise during the day, but by evening it quiets down considerably. Parking can be tricky around there (it’s city center, after all), but honestly, you probably won’t need a car anyway. The place gets busy during festival season and when there are events at the SEC, so book ahead if you’re visiting in summer. What I really appreciated was how straightforward everything was – clear check-in instructions, responsive communication, none of that runaround you sometimes get with short-term rentals. It’s the kind of place where you can actually picture yourself settling in for a few days rather than just crashing between sightseeing.

Hotels near me in Glasgow offer convenient access to the city center, where guests can easily walk to Glasgow Cathedral, Merchant City, and authentic Scottish pubs.

Proximity to the town centre. Bathroom and kitchen.

What could be improved: Lack of lift .
Accommodation is 4 floors above ground level.
Fire doors in the flat slam heavily .
    No dinning table .
Single small shelf in tall bedroom cupboard.
Good size safe ,but at floor level making access awkward.
    Very hot in fine weather.
The sash windows are heavy and lack open position options.
Very intrusive noise from activity on the street below until 4am.
    Earplugs are provided.

  • Very Good – Christopher from United Kingdom – March 31, 2025 (8/10)

Lovely apartment, super clean and in a very safe gated complex.

  • Great Stay! Would not hesitate to book again. – Natalie from United Kingdom – March 23, 2025 (9/10)

Stunning apartment and really great service. Spacious and had everything I needed in a really central location making a short trip to Glasgow everything I imagined and more!

What could be improved: It would have been great to have hand towels or extra towels (as a female with long hair two just isn't enough). It was a very noisy street, but this was a small price to pay given the very central location and access to EVERYTHING you could need in the city.

  • If you want to be in the very center of a great city bear in mind possible drawbacks. – Jozef from Poland – July 13, 2025 (6/10)

In this apartment you know you are in Glasgow. Centrally located, close to the main railway station and the windows overlooking a very busy, noisy and bustling Union Street. There you can see and hear, day and night a variety of Glaswegians, inhabitants of a great city with glorious shipbuilding past. The apt itself is as shown in the pictures – spacious, comfortable with well equipped kitchenette. Lots of shops and bus stops around. Very good contact with the hosts. Keys in the key safebox.

What could be improved: .Very heavy doors make it difficult to move round the apartment. Also, huge windows let a lot of light, noise and heat inside, difficult to sleep in, AC or fans and heavy dark curtains are necessary.
