Stylish 3-Bedroom Apartment in Central Glasgow Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into the Stylish 3-Bedroom Apartment in Central Glasgow, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes these independent apartments surprise you way more than those cookie-cutter hotel chains. This place sits in the North West area, which actually puts you in a really sweet spot if you know Glasgow at all. You’re close enough to the city center that you won’t be spending half your day on public transport, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the weekend chaos around Buchanan Street.
The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there – and I mean that in the best way possible. The three bedrooms are genuinely spacious (not those shoebox situations you sometimes get), and the whole place has this lived-in comfort that makes you want to kick off your shoes immediately. The kitchen is properly equipped too, which honestly saved me a fortune because eating out in Glasgow every night can get expensive fast. I actually ended up cooking a few meals there, and it felt natural rather than like I was camping out in someone else’s space. The living area gets decent light during the day, though the evenings can feel a bit dim – nothing a lamp can’t fix, but worth mentioning. What really got me was how quiet it stays at night. You’d think being in the city you’d hear traffic constantly, but the windows do their job well.
Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really tell you – you’re walking distance from some proper local spots that tourists usually miss. There’s this little bakery about five minutes away that does incredible morning rolls, and the locals there actually chat with you instead of just taking your money. The bus connections are solid if you need to get to the West End or down to the Merchant City area, though I found myself walking more than expected because the routes through the neighborhood are actually quite pleasant. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during the day – it’s street parking mostly, and you’ll want to read those signs carefully – but evenings and weekends aren’t too bad. The 7.4 rating makes sense to me; it’s not luxury by any stretch, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. If you’re the type who needs 24/7 room service and daily housekeeping, this obviously isn’t your place. But if you want something that feels authentic and gives you proper space to spread out while exploring Glasgow, it’s actually a smart choice.

Location , clean , comfortable
What could be improved: There was no hot water.Great stay. Highy recommended. – Gavin from United Kingdom – August 10, 2025 (8/10)
Excellent location… 10 mins walk from top of byres road.
Free parking close by.
3 bedrooms.
Clean and tidy property.
Good facilities.
Quiet.
What could be improved: Basement flat might not suit all.
Property was comfortable but higher quality linen would benefit.Exceptional – Andrew from Australia – May 27, 2025 (10/10)
Property was amazing and modern (quite a surprise noting the industrial feel to the public entrance ways). Grocery store and other amenities are just a short walk away and there is easy access to the Botanical gardens, and public transport to central Glasgow.
What could be improved: While communication from Tomas was great, some guides on using the appliances, heating and accessing wifi would be helpful for future guests. Otherwise there were far more pros than cons in staying at this fabulous property.Great location and lovely apartment for family with small dog – Glenys from United Kingdom – May 19, 2025 (10/10)
Lovely apartment. Well equipped. Comfortable family stay. Great location for West End. Close to Botanics which has lovely walks and views
What could be improved: Not a fan of wet rooms. Had 2 bathrooms (one en suite) as water always seems to go everywhere but appreciate handy for families with small children and people with mobility problems. Also basement flat so sort of makes sense as easier to clean too.Very good spot. I booked the stay as a contractor in the area for the night and the apartment had everything we needed. – Wallace from United Kingdom – February 5, 2025 (10/10)
Very well equipped for me and my colleagues for the night.
Superb night away in Glasgow, host was fantastic to deal with and the property itself was very clean and tidy. – Alex from United Kingdom – February 5, 2025 (10/10)
Stylish & modern property which made me feel at home.
PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS! – Sandra from United Kingdom – August 14, 2025 (1/10)
I have stayed in numerous Booking.com properties and I can hand on heart say that every single one has been of an adequate standard. However this property has definitely changed it all for me! There was nothing to like about this damp, dull and stuffy basement flat.
What could be improved: On arrival we entered a code to retrieve the keys from a key safe box. Not a problem. However, actually trying to unlock the front door was a nightmare! Stood on the doorstep for a good couple of minutes each and every time we accessed the building. This definitely needs to be looked at. On entering the apartment the first thing that hits you is the musty smell of damp. We visited on a particulary warm weekend and our first instinct was to open the window. However, that wasn't possible as the only window to the property was painted shut! We couldn't connect to the wifi as the router in the apartment didn't match what was available (basement flat so no phone signal either). There was no hot water for the entirety of the weekend and despite contacting the owner, he failed to get back to us. No instruction manual was available for us to try and resolve any of these issues ourselves. The hob in the kitchen was cracked and broken at one corner too. Bathrooms were both wet rooms which weren't the best. The absolute worst part off this trip was the man who loitered about on the street for 1.5hours before we checked out on our departure day. He paced back and forth along the street constantly looking into the window. Made our whole party feel very uncomfortable! He was clearly waiting for us to check out at 10am. If we had been over our check out time, I might have understood, but it was extremely rude to be hounding us to leave before the actual checkout time. When we met him at the doorstep and expressed our frustrations from the weekend all we got back was "I no understand". The owner messaged us once we got home to apologise for not having seen our message regarding the wifi etc and apologised for his failings and offered a refund. Surprise surprise though, two months down the line and no refund has been received. He's clearly out to scam people for all that he can.Utterly disappointing.great help from Alan on call guy but really i shouldnt have had to message him so much if at all – David from United Kingdom – June 20, 2025 (3/10)
Location is great and it’s quiet area
What could be improved: When we arrived it hadn’t been cleaned. So we had to book into a hotel for a night. Next morning The key to the front door of the tenement didn’t work properly. You needed to jiggle it about for ages to get it to work. Every time -really? No hot water and reset button under the sink kept tripping. I wasn’t sure the open electrics there were safe. The WiFi code didn’t work so another call to get correct code which was supposed to be sent to us but wasn’t. There were damp smelly towels left in the tumble drier. No instructions about anything. And as you couldn’t open a window the place smelt a bit musty. Ceramic hob was cracked, it felt like a place purely to make money not a flat that was loved or remotely cared about. I’ve used Airbnb for years and this is first time I’ve ever given such a poor reviewPleasant – Anonymous from United States – May 29, 2025 (6/10)
Great location and close to botanical gardens
What could be improved: Free parking is a challenge, bathrooms very small.Udany – Marta from Poland – August 25, 2025 (6/10)
