The owner (lovely woman, by the way) mentioned that most guests end up using the local bus route, which runs pretty frequently and drops you right near the main shopping areas. Parking was surprisingly stress-free too – there’s space right outside, which anyone who’s driven in Scottish cities will tell you is basically winning the lottery. The whole neighborhood has this lived-in feel where locals are walking their dogs and chatting over garden fences, so you get a proper sense of what residential Glasgow is actually like rather than just the tourist bits. One thing I’d mention – the shower pressure is fantastic (seriously, better than some four-star hotels I’ve stayed in), but the hot water takes a minute or two to get going, which is pretty typical for these older properties. The kitchen‘s well-stocked if you fancy cooking, though honestly, there are some brilliant local pubs within walking distance where you can get a proper meal and maybe chat with some locals who’ll give you better recommendations than any guidebook.
