The kitchenettes are properly functional too, not just for show, which honestly saved me a fortune on eating out every meal. There’s something refreshing about being able to make your morning coffee without having to get dressed and hunt down a café, especially when you’re dealing with jet lag or just want to ease into the day. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the space (shocking, I know), and the water pressure in the shower is surprisingly decent – these little things matter more than people realize when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two.

Here’s the thing that really won me over though – the staff actually seem to care about what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees popping up, and when I had a minor issue with the air conditioning, someone was up to fix it within an hour. Not exactly luxury service, but competent and friendly, which beats dealing with attitude at fancier places any day. The building itself is quiet enough that you’re not dealing with paper-thin walls and neighbors stomping around at all hours, but you still get that sense of life happening around you. Parking was straightforward too – none of that circling-the-block-for-twenty-minutes nonsense that makes you question your life choices. I’d say this place hits that sweet spot where you’re getting genuine value without paying for amenities you probably won’t use anyway. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels more like a temporary home base than a hotel room, and you don’t need someone fluffing your pillows twice a day, VR Apartments is worth considering.

Found me a hairdryer when the one in my room went missing. Restaurant next door is great. Book library good. Will definitely book again.
