Couples seem to absolutely love it here (and I can see why), but it’s not exclusively romantic or anything.

The Room Experience

My room had that refined Scottish country house vibe — think quality fabrics and thoughtful touches rather than flashy luxury. The attention to detail was impressive, actually. Everything felt substantial and well-made, from the linens to the furniture. What I appreciated most was how quiet everything was; you’d think being on a popular walking route might mean noise, but the soundproofing is excellent. The views vary depending on which room you get, but even the less dramatic ones have this peaceful, rolling countryside feel that’s genuinely relaxing.

The breakfast situation here is honestly one of the best I’ve encountered at a luxury hotel. They’ve got this impressive spread that covers pretty much every dietary requirement you can think of — continental, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, American-style, plus a proper buffet setup. But here’s what I really liked: they also do breakfast to go, which is brilliant if you’re planning an early hike or just want to eat somewhere scenic. The restaurant staff clearly know their stuff, and they’re happy to make recommendations about local spots or walking routes.

  The family room was very spacious and clean. The lounge downstairs looked so festive and cozy with the Christmas tree and fireplace. I’d love to find out the detergent they use, because the bedding smelled so fresh, very pleasant scent. The location was wonderful because it was in a rural setting, but within close proximity to Glasgow. We loved the dogs that came out to greet us each evening when we returned.

  Friendly staff, great location close to Trossachs. In a small room first and fifth nights, staff put us into larger room for middle three nights, usually reserved for large families, so staff were very good and open about need to be flexible over booking. Would like to stay again in the future.

  Firstly the staff Adam and Margaret who we had most contact with are very professional and personable. They provided a welcoming and efficient face for this accommodation. They provided a warm welcome, an efficient check in and an organised access to hearty meals, things to do and places to see. My wife and I were very pleased with their service. The breakfast is a continental breakfast. To be fair, it’s experimental until they can determine if consistent demand will drive the efficacy of providing full Scottish breakfast’s. The existing breakfast is part of the package and sufficient to get people fed and on their way.
