And speaking of getting around, forget about parking if you’re driving – the streets here are packed, but that’s just Glasgow for you. The area comes alive in the evenings, especially on weekends, so if you’re a light sleeper, maybe pack some earplugs. But honestly, that energy is part of what makes staying in this neighborhood worth it. You’ve got the Botanic Gardens just up the road for morning walks, and some genuinely good pubs and cafes within stumbling distance. The whole setup feels more like you’re actually living in Glasgow for a bit rather than just passing through, which I kind of loved despite the place being pretty no-frills. Just don’t expect luxury – this is more about location and that authentic Glasgow flat experience than fancy amenities.

  What could be improved: It looked like it was under construction as the ceiling was unfinished, the fridge was dirty and smelly, a lamp beside the bed was broken. Also, the landlord did not want to help to make TV work.
