2 Bedroom Modern stylish Apt in Glasgow City Centre Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name 2 Bedroom Modern stylish Apt in Glasgow City Centre, I thought it was going to be one of those generic Airbnb places with IKEA furniture and zero personality. But you know what? I was completely wrong about this one, and I’m actually glad I gave it a shot.
The thing is, this place sits right on High Street, which honestly puts you smack in the middle of everything that matters in Glasgow. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Merchant City area – you know, where all the good restaurants are hiding – and you can stumble back from Ashton Lane without needing an expensive taxi ride at 2am (trust me on this one). What really caught me off guard was how quiet it actually stays inside despite being on such a busy street. The windows are proper thick, which I didn’t expect, and you don’t get that constant city hum that usually drives you mad after the second night.
The apartment itself has this sort of industrial-chic thing going on, but it’s done tastefully – not like those places where they’ve just thrown some exposed brick at the wall and called it a day. The kitchen actually works (I made proper breakfasts, not just toast), and there’s enough space that two couples could stay here without wanting to murder each other by day three. The bedrooms are genuinely separate too, not those weird loft situations where someone’s “private space” is basically a curtain. Honestly, the whole place feels like someone who actually knows Glasgow designed it for people who want to experience the city properly, not just crash somewhere cheap. The only minor thing – and this is really minor – is that the shower pressure could be a bit stronger, but after walking around Glasgow all day, you’re usually too knackered to care much about power showers anyway.
What really sells this place for me is the location specifics that most people don’t mention. You’re close enough to Central Station that you can drag your luggage there without breaking a sweat, but far enough from the main tourist traps that you feel like you’re staying where actual Glaswegians live and work. Plus, there’s a proper supermarket just around the corner on Argyle Street, which sounds boring but becomes absolutely crucial when you realize how expensive it is to eat out for every single meal in the city center. The building itself has character too – it’s one of those converted Victorian places that makes you feel connected to the city’s history without sacrificing modern comfort. After staying here, I actually understand why people fall in love with Glasgow’s mix of old and new, and honestly, I’d book this place again in a heartbeat.

Reviews of 2 Bedroom Modern stylish Apt in Glasgow City Centre
Central flat with easy access to Glasgow city centre. – Kay from United Kingdom – July 6, 2025 (8/10)
Great flat, central location.
Easy to access, all instructions sent and easy to follow, keysafe box.
Requested 2 sets of keys which were provided.
Host was responsive to all requests, allowed later check out which was great to 12pm.
Had everything we needed.
Would definitely stay again.
What could be improved: On 3rd floor so lots of stairs to climb which were ok for us but not good if poor mobility.
Shower wasn’t the best, not powerful at all.Wonderful – Calum from United Kingdom – May 9, 2025 (9/10)
Large top floor apartment with great little balcony windows in the living room & bedroom. Really spacious and perfect for our trip to The Hydro.
Great central location – Wallace from United Kingdom – December 2, 2024 (9/10)
Good location
Very Good – Fiona from United Kingdom – November 16, 2024 (8/10)
Easy walking distance to centre
What could be improved: Was a bit cold no instructions for heating that we could find.Comfortable stay with all the facilities we needed. – Gordon from United Kingdom – May 18, 2024 (8/10)
Central location was perfect for our needs, bars, restaurants and parking very close by. Very good communication from the host who kept us informed leading up to the stay.
Some minor and major problems with this place. – Amanda from United States – June 6, 2025 (7/10)
Close to everything. Top floor with lots of light, space, views. Functional kitchen, TV, and rooms with soft beds.
What could be improved: Severe bed bug infestation in one of the beds left my son covered in hundreds of bites. The 3 doors were often left ajar or unlocked, and the last door to our unit had questionable locks. They didn’t supply one blanket per person (had only 4 blankets for 6 people) and the heat didn’t work so we were freezing and my daughter had no blanket. Dryer didn’t work so when we came in from heavy rain outside, we couldn’t dry our wet things and had to sit in a cold apartment in wet clothes without enough blankets. One window wouldn’t close. It was super loud on the streets at night and the sound came through easily. The kitchen didn’t have enough forks for each person.Pleasant – Deborah from United States – August 23, 2025 (6/10)
Location was great. The place was very clean.
What could be improved: Dining table glass panel broken, so Unable to seat our family. Tumble dryer “Out of service” so had to walk to a laundry mat to dry clothes for 10 pounds and waste valuable vacation time. “Stylish” in description is really college dorm room. WiFi- had to find it and plug it in. This is a 3rd floor flat! Nowhere in the description does it say that! I know there are some who would say read the reviews. I should not have to read a review to find out this is a 3rd floor flat. Heart disease is real and affecting so many! My husband struggled badly and if the listing was properly done, we could have passed. Value: We could have stayed in a hotel with breakfast if we took 2 rooms and enjoyed our stay much better.Excellent – Naela from United Kingdom – December 31, 2024 (10/10)

Great Apartment! – Christy from United Kingdom – November 13, 2024 (10/10)
the apartment is spacious and location is really good. Couldn't setup the heating at first but the host responded promptly and gave clear instruction on how to turn on the heating. The Apartment looks exactly like the photos and it was clean and tidy.
Drafty, cold apartment in great location – Linda from United Kingdom – December 24, 2024 (6/10)
The location is great for Barrowland and getting buses or trains around Glasgow. The apartment is clean and equipped with all you need for cooking and there are some toiletries in the bathroom.
What could be improved: Unclear, incomplete instructions on how to enter the apartment. It's no use providing a code and saying the keys are in a box NEAR the door without giving their precise location or saying that the code needs to be used in two places. It took quite a while to sort this out with the owner and two trips up and down to the third floor apartment. I realise now I had got through the front door not because I had used the code (left hand box next to the main door) but because the door hadn't been shut properly. This needs attention. It is also tricky turning the key to get in. I had been looking for the key box inside near the front door and then near the door of the third floor entrance. Two key boxes are actually on the right, not immediately near, the main door outside. Once in the apartment the temperature was 10° and there was a strong musty smell on entry probably from the utility room where there was mold and a corner of the bathroom floor was badly stained. After an 11 hour hour journey it would have been good to have had easy access to a warm place. I had to wrap myself up in a duvet. The owners left a monitor showing that their budget for electricity was exceeded giving the impression that it shouldn't be used. Any heat is lost due to terribly drafty windows – they need covering with thick curtains at least or replacing with double glazing, the latter would help with the street noise too. There was no booklet of instructions on how to operate the WiFi and TV (limited information was given via email) or for other electrical equipment or household running or useful numbers to call etc. Communication was curt and the day before leaving I received a long list of 'dont's'- very off putting – and a 'do' to ensure rubbish was taken to the bins without saying where these were located. I found them behind one of many doors in a long corridor on the ground floor.
