Victorian 3 BR main door flat, King size beds , large rooms Overview
First Impressions
When I first walked up to Victorian 3 BR main door flat, King size beds , large rooms, I’ll be honest — the name doesn’t do it justice. This four-star property on Deanston Drive has that solid Victorian charm you’d expect from Glasgow, but what really caught my attention was just how spacious everything felt. You know how most city flats make you feel like you’re living in a shoebox? Well, this place is the complete opposite. The main door entrance gives you that proper flat feeling rather than being tucked away in some anonymous hotel corridor.
The Space That Surprised Me
Honestly, the room sizes here are what make this place special. I mean, when they say “large rooms” in the name, they actually mean it — which is refreshing because usually that’s just marketing speak. Each of the three bedrooms comes with king-size beds, and there’s actually space to walk around them without doing that awkward sideways shuffle. The Victorian proportions really show, with those high ceilings that make everything feel airy. What I particularly liked was how each bedroom felt like its own little sanctuary rather than just a place to crash.
Location That Actually Works
The South Side location on Deanston Drive is one of those spots that locals know but tourists often miss. You’re close enough to the city center that getting around is easy, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the noise and chaos of the main tourist areas. I noticed quite a few couples staying here — apparently it’s got a 9.5 rating for location, and I can see why. There’s something about this neighborhood that just feels more authentic Glasgow, if that makes sense. Plus, there’s parking right on site, which honestly is worth its weight in gold in this city.
What Makes It Work for Couples
I can definitely understand why couples rate this place so highly. The flat has this homey feel that’s perfect when you want to actually spend time together rather than just using a place to sleep. You’ve got proper living spaces where you can spread out, maybe cook a meal together, or just relax without feeling cramped. The king-size beds don’t hurt either — there’s something to be said for actually having space to stretch out after a day of exploring the city. It feels more like staying in a friend’s really nice flat than a typical hotel room.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
With a 9.2 overall rating, this place clearly does something right, and I think it comes down to space and authenticity. You’re getting that proper Glasgow Victorian flat experience without sacrificing modern comfort. The combination of those generous room sizes, the solid location that couples seem to love, and the convenience of on-site parking creates something that’s actually quite hard to find. It’s not trying to be fancy or luxurious — it’s just really good at being what it is: a comfortable, spacious base for exploring Glasgow that feels like a real home rather than just another place to stay.

Great location for foodies! – Marj from United Kingdom – September 4, 2025 (9/10)
Lovely old flat with disabled friendly shower room. Convenient for Pollock and the Burrelll. Close to buses and stations to Glasgow. Great local eateries, independent shops and charity shops. Comfy beds. Appreciated the toy and book selection for the youngsters. Thanks!
What could be improved: Could have used an extra pair of chairs for dining as concerned the bedroom ones might suffer with sticky kids! The undersink kick board needs some attention . Otherwise great!Long weekend in Glasgow – Ann from United Kingdom – August 28, 2025 (10/10)
The architecture, the facilities and the location.
What could be improved: Nothing, it was excellent.South side gem – David from Australia – July 9, 2024 (10/10)
Spacious flat, well maintained, great communication from owner, handy for parks and local eateries, close to public transport, light and airy flat
What could be improved: Small dining table for eating in, on street parking a bit of a nightmare, could have a little more clothing storage ( but none of these things were major dramas)Wonderful – Courtney from United Kingdom – July 10, 2023 (9/10)
First class accommodation and we all enjoyed our stay. – Dave from United Kingdom – July 6, 2023 (8/10)
Very spacious, well equipped, comfortable and clean apartment.
All on one floor which suited my elderly father.
Good variety of cafes and restaurants nearby if you require to dine out.
What could be improved: Certainly not criticising apartment in anyway but….. If you are arriving in your own transport it can be a pain at times trying to get parked beside front door.
It certainly wouldn't prevent me staying again.Wonderful – Keith from United Kingdom – May 22, 2023 (9/10)
Close to destination, we have booked again for the second time
