The four bedrooms are spread across both floors, so if you’re traveling with a group, someone’s going to get the upstairs master with those floor-to-ceiling windows I mentioned – there might be some friendly arguing over who gets it.

What I really appreciated was how the place feels like an actual home rather than a sterile rental. The kitchen is properly equipped – I’m talking decent knives, real plates, a coffee maker that doesn’t look like it came from 1987. There’s this comfortable lived-in quality to the furniture that made me want to sprawl out with a book on rainy afternoons. The duplex layout gives everyone space to spread out too, which is clutch when you’re sharing with friends or family for more than a couple nights. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that hunting around for a lockbox or waiting for someone to show up. The 8.6 rating makes sense to me; it’s not luxury hotel perfect, but it’s got character and comfort in spades. Plus, being right in Finnieston means you’re genuinely living like a local for however long you’re there, grabbing morning coffee from the same spots as the people who actually call this neighborhood home.
