Glasgow – 2 Bedroom Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Glasgow – 2 Bedroom Apartment on Westmoreland Street, you immediately get the sense this is a proper residential neighborhood rather than some touristy hotel strip. The building sits quietly in Glasgow’s South side, and honestly, that’s part of its charm — you’re staying where locals actually live. It’s a four-star apartment setup, which means you get real space to spread out instead of being cramped into a typical hotel room. The entrance feels more like visiting a friend’s place than checking into accommodation, and I mean that in the best possible way.
The Space and Setup
Inside, you’ve got two proper bedrooms and enough room to actually unpack your suitcase without playing Tetris with your belongings. The apartment feels lived-in rather than sterile — there’s character here that you just don’t get in chain hotels. The kitchen is functional enough that you can actually cook a meal if you want to save some money or just fancy a quiet night in. What really struck me was how the place manages to feel both homey and clean, which isn’t always easy to pull off in short-term rentals.
Location and Getting Around
The South side location is actually brilliant once you get your bearings. You’re not in the thick of the city center chaos, but you’re well-connected enough that getting into town isn’t a hassle. The neighborhood has that authentic Glasgow feel — proper pubs, local shops, and you’ll hear more Scottish accents than tourist chatter. Couples seem to particularly love this area (they rate it 8.2 apparently), and I can see why — it’s got that romantic, residential vibe without being completely cut off from the action.
The Parking Situation
Here’s something that’ll save you both money and stress — the free parking is genuinely free, not one of those “first hour free” situations that hotels love to pull. In Glasgow, where city center parking can cost you a small fortune, this is actually a massive advantage. You can explore the city during the day and know your car is sorted when you get back. It’s one of those practical details that makes a real difference to your trip budget, especially if you’re planning to drive around Scotland.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this place work is that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. You’re getting a genuine Glasgow experience in a real neighborhood, with the space and freedom that comes with apartment living. The 6.6 rating might not scream “perfect,” but honestly, that often means you’re getting honest reviews rather than the inflated scores you see elsewhere. It’s upscale enough to feel special but grounded enough to feel authentic — and in a city like Glasgow, where the real charm is in the neighborhoods rather than the tourist traps, that balance is exactly what you want.
