Top Floor West End Apartment – Partick, Glasgow Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first climbed up to the Top Floor West End Apartment – Partick, Glasgow, I was slightly out of breath (it’s properly at the top), but man, the views from up there made it totally worth it. You’re literally looking out over the West End rooftops, and on a clear day you can see right across to the hills beyond the city. There’s something quite special about being tucked away on Mansfield Street – it’s one of those residential streets that feels authentically Glasgow without any of the tourist bustle.
What really struck me about this place is how it manages to feel like a proper home rather than just somewhere to crash for the night. The apartment has that lived-in comfort that you don’t always get with holiday rentals – you know what I mean, where someone’s actually thought about the details that matter. The kitchen‘s properly equipped (not just a kettle and hope for the best), and honestly, I ended up cooking more than I planned because it felt natural to do so. Being in Partick means you’re a stone’s throw from Byres Road if you want the buzz of cafés and shops, but you can also just wander down to the riverside walks along the Clyde when you need to clear your head. I actually discovered this brilliant little bakery just around the corner that I never would have found if I’d stayed somewhere more central.
The 9.3 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s those small things that add up. The shower pressure’s excellent (always a gamble in older Glasgow buildings), the heating works properly, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days. Partick can get a bit lively on weekend evenings – you’ll hear people heading home from the pubs – but it’s more cheerful than disruptive, and by Sunday morning everything’s peaceful again. The transport links are brilliant too; you’re walking distance to Partick station if you want to explore beyond the city, or just hop on the subway to get into town quickly. I mean, for a 3-star place, it punches well above its weight in terms of comfort and that authentic Glasgow experience you can’t really manufacture.

Reviews of Top Floor West End Apartment – Partick, Glasgow
Cozy flat in a nice neighbourhood – Laura from United Kingdom – August 7, 2025 (9/10)
Perfect, but cozy, sized property for a couple staying for a long weekend in a nice neighbourhood. There are plenty of pubs, shops and restaurants, and it’s 5 mins from the nearest subway. The flat is opposite a small green which gave a feeling of privacy as we weren’t overlooked. Easy to open windows for fresh air.
Comfortable sofas, no dining area as such, but we didn’t need it.
Comfortable bed, plenty of room for storing clothes.
Well equipped kitchen.
Clean bathroom with hot water when needed.
Be warned, this flat is on the third floor going up a lot of stairs.
What could be improved: We would have liked hooks or an area to hang coats.
The shower doesn’t have a door, meaning the water goes everywhere. It might be trendy, but we’re dinosaurs and prefer not to soak the bathroom, lol.Wonderful – Maria from Ireland – July 9, 2025 (9/10)
Very comfortable and homely apartment. Very quiet even with basketball court opposite. 2 mins away from subway station and 12 mins into centre of Glasgow on subway. Tesco express 2 mins away. Good selection of restaurants and bars nearby.
What could be improved: Apartment on 3rd floor no lift. Would be hard for elderly with luggage.Definitely enjoyed my whole stay – Raad from United Kingdom – May 15, 2025 (10/10)
The host, Shannon was such an amazing host. Kind, friendly and approachable, being a visually impaired guest she guided me through out the whole stairs and showed me her apartment in very detail.
The apartment was top notch. It was clean, tip top, very tidy, modern. What I loved the most was the shower. It was relaxing, the water works were perfect. Also very bright natural lights during the day. Had 2 couches, super comfy, the couches were so big you could literally sleep on it (in a compliment way saying)
It had triple glazing glass. So very less noise came from outside as it had basket ball area people playing, I was expecting lot of noise but the windows were great. Even though I didn't had to use the washing machine, but it had a very modern Samsung Washing Machine. They had all the amenities for cooking, eating. What more can you ask ? Oh how can I forget they even had scented candles which I love wish I could stay bit longer. And also a huge TV which had amazing resolution with Netflix.
The shades were great for night atmosphere. Also highly secured.
The bed was comfy, with huge pillows and lovely blanket.
The attention to detail is amazing what Shannon have. They even kept shampoos and stuffs like that so that guests doesn't have to bring their own. As being visually impaired they also had super bright lights for me which is very helpful for people like me. Thank you Shannon
A solid 10/10
